Dodgeball Team Rules
● 8-10 players per team
● Need team name and team captain
● Teams should try and wear the same color shirt
● Sneakers should be worn
● Team sign-up sheet and signed waiver for each
team member turned in by March 1st, NO
EXCEPTIONS.
● Each player’s entry fee is $10, paid to in full
before the Dodgeball Tournament begins (NO
EXCEPTIONS). Entry fees are non-refundable in
event participant cannot attend the event.
● Players can register under more than one team
but must pay an entry fee for each team.
● Good Sportsmanship
● Teams can be girls only, boys only, or co-ed
teams.
● Grade levels will play against each other.
● You will play ​a lot​ of dodgeball. Over the 2 days
be prepared to play a lot of games. We will be
getting teams in and out very quickly. Games
will begin on time.

● Standard Dodgeball rules apply:
● No headhunting
● You can use the ball the deflect the ball
thrown at you as long as you hold onto the ball
● If you are hit you are out
● If a player on your team catches a ball a
player who is out may return, catcher’s choice
● You need to stay within the parameters(area)
set to stay in the game
● You cannot cross the midline.
● If a judge says you are out, you are out. Do
not argue with the judges!
● If you argue with the judge or another player
you will be disqualified!
Prizes
Team Champions will receive TWO FREE SLICES OF PIZZA
AFTER THE EVENT for each player.

Permission Slip and Waiver
I ____________________________________ , have read and understand the rules and
regulations of the 2017 Scofield Magnet Middle School Dodgeball Tournament and
understand that any violations of the rules provided will result in disqualification of my
entire dodgeball team.
As a participant of team, I have included my $10.00 registration fee. I will report to the
main gym at 2:40pm with all my team members ready to play Thursday, March 9th,
2017. My team will also play on Friday evening March 10th, 2017. Team check in will be
at 6:30PM.
I give my child permission to participate 2017 Scofield Magnet Middle School Dodgeball
Tournament on Thursday, March 9​th ​after school and Friday March 10th in the evening in
the main gym. Team check in on Friday, March 10th, will be at 6:30PM.
I understand that they have been provided with all the rules and regulations of the
dodgeball tournament, and I acknowledge that any violations of these rules will result in
disqualifications.

Do you Dodgeball?
Thursday March 9th​ ​. Students will finish on time to take the late bus home.
Friday March 10​th​ at 6:30PM sharp.
Come watch the Teacher’s/Staff vs the Students!
All proceeds will be used by the PTP to fund field trips, honor roll parties and other enrichment activities.
Students who would like to play against staff will need to pay an additional $10 for the
game. This game will take place friday night and will be spectacular!
Prizes will be awarded for:
• Team Champion per Grade
All players must have:
• A student permission slip and
waiver.
• Entrance fee of $10 per player
Any student that does not
follow the rules, see separate
sheet, will be disqualified.
Spirit Wear and Refreshments will be
