MIXED FOURSOMES MATCHPLAY COMPETITION
½ difference between aggregate handicaps of each side
The Competition is a mixed foursomes format - a pairs competition - where the
players alternate hitting the same ball. The first player tees off, the second
player hits the second shot, the first player hits the third shot, and so on until
the ball is holed. Players alternate hitting tee shots so that the same player
doesn't hit every drive, i.e. the first player tees off on holes 1,3,5 etc, and the
second player tees off on holes 2,4,6 etc.
Each round will be drawn with a deadline date for each round to be played.
Teams may use 1 substitute only during the competition (excluding quarterfinals, semi-finals and final)
5 day members who wish to enter will have to pay the appropriate green fee if
the match is played on a weekend.
Handicap: Men 24, Ladies 36 (Max Team Hcp: 50)
Ladies have an adjustment of +2 shots
Strokes calculated on ½ the difference of combined team handicap (including
adjustment)
Example:
Player A (6) & Player B (14 + 2) = hcp total 22
vs
Player C (9) & Player D (22 + 2) = hcp total 33
Difference in total hcp = 11. Therefore shots received = 6
