Swim Lesson Program Classes and Descriptions:
Adult Beginner Swim Lessons
This class is designed to provide basic swimming skills to adult that may have a fear of the water or
have never had the opportunity to learn basic swimming skills. This class focuses on floating,
backstroke, freestyle, and treading water. In a group setting swimmers work together and with the
instructor to achieve personal goals and become comfortable in the water.

Parent/Child Swim Lessons:
Ages (6 months – 3 years)
Water Introduction class allowing young children to listen, learn, gain confidence and have fun in
the water. Parent/Guardian required to be in the water with swimmers. This is a water adjustment
orientation class that emphasizes fun and safety with the use of games and songs.

Preschool Swim Lessons:
Ages (3 years – 5 years 11 months)
Beginner
Pre-requisite: Must be at least 3 years of age
This class is designed for swimmers who are new to swimming or have not yet achieved the prerequisites for the Preschool Intermediate class.
This class will introduce swimmers to basic water skills. There is a strong focus on paddling,
floating, and activities that increase water confidence with and without the use of floatation
devices.

Intermediate
Pre-requisite: Must be at least 3 years of age and be comfortable in the water, able to float and
able to swim independently for at least 10 yards without the use of a floatation device.
This class will help swimmers to gain confidence in the water and begin to learn fundamental
swimming strokes. There is a strong focus on swimming independently without the use of
floatation. Swimmers will begin to build strength and endurance being able to swim 25 yards.
