Job Description:
brightshadow is an innovative performance company and social
enterprise who’s mission is to enable people living with dementia and
those who love and care for them to live well and to thrive. We are a
growing organisation and as part of that growth we will be delivering
workshops for people living with dementia and their family/carers in
Godalming and Woking. We are looking for an enthusiastic Project
Coordinator to ensure the successful delivery of these services for 8
months and secure their continuation beyond that time. Your role
would include:

















With support from the Charity Manager, setting up the services in
Godalming and Woking, including securing venues, organising
marketing materials etc.
Managing and assisting the delivery of one workshop day a
fortnight in Woking and Godalming (may be split to a half
workshop day per week).
Managing personnel associated with delivery including,
Facilitator and Volunteers
Acting as point of contact for Bright Shadow with venue,
community partners, support organisations and participants on
workshop days
Advertising the programme through local agencies and
networks and the local media to recruit participants.
Liaising with Surrey County Council Commissioners and
integrating our service into their framework for Day Opportunities
for Older Adults.
Ensuring participant fees are collected and relevant registration,
evaluation forms/activities are completed when required,
banking fees and reporting all data to Bright Shadow head
office.
Monitoring attendance and participation of client group and
reporting to Charity Manager on a monthly basis
Maintaining electronic and written communications with Charity
Manager, Facilitator and administrator.
Recruiting and liaising with external facilitators and documentors
Planning and delivery of any cultural outings if appropriate
Reporting to Charity manager on a monthly basis with project
updates, including occasional travel to Kent for meetings and
training
Ensuring health and safety is being adhered to, maintaining
records of this and any evaluation reports/forms are correctly
maintained
Ensuring that Safeguarding procedures are being followed
Ensuring Data Collection and Storage is being maintained in
accordance with Data Protection Act
Recruitment and maintenance of participants across both
locations
Contacting participants on a weekly basis



Building cross agency relationships including health sector,
community organisations, support organisations, arts venues,
public sector and funders
Wider promotion of the programme
Other tasks as CEO sees fit
Your role will include dementia awareness training.
This is a fixed term contract with potential to extend/expand pending
funding.
