BACKGROUND


The Non-Traditional Scrapbook Award is designed to recognize and honor those Circle K Clubs that produce a
high quality traditional scrapbook chronicling the activities of the Circle K Club. A non-traditional scrapbook is
larger than 18”x27” or not in book-form.
Please provide the total cost involved in creating the scrapbook. Consider photo-printing costs, cost of basic
materials, costs of the finishing etc. Maximum spending allotted is $300 USD to achieve full point.

GENERAL GUIDELINES
 To be eligible for this award, a club must be in good standing with both International and their District.
 Decisions of the judges are final and no changes, alterations, or recalculations will take place.
 Submission must be either brought to the 2016 CKI International Convention and submitted during day one
of registration or sent via mail, postmarked by June 1, 2016. No late submissions will be accepted for
judging. If mailing, please send applications to the Circle K International Office, 3636 Woodview Trace,
Indianapolis, Indiana 46268-3196. Circle K International is not responsible for damage to or loss of mailed entries.
 Only one non-traditional scrapbook may be entered per club.
 Clubs that placed at the District level for this award have the option of writing a letter in order not to get points
docked from their score at the international level. This is due to discrepancies between district and international
awards.

Rules & Judging
Rules:




A Circle K club may enter a scrapbook containing pictures, souvenirs, newspaper clippings, etc. of its
activites between April 1st 2015 and March 31st 2016.
The scrapbook may be any size, shape, or form.
The submitted scrapbook must include the following categories and must be tabbed accordingly:
o Service to Campus
o Service to Community
o Fundraising Projects
o Involvement with Kiwanis Family Projects
o Involvement with the Preferred Charities/Service Partners
o Miscellaneous
First, second, and third place winners shall be the three clubs with the highest point totals based on the
judging section below.
