SureThik Hair Thickening Products
SureThik hair thickening products were developed and made in Canada in 2010 to help fill a
void in the hair loss industry. Treatments such as
hair transplants, hair systems, laser treatments
were available, but not everyone was a good
candidate or perhaps it wasn’t the right time for

The SureThik Thickening Mist is great for straight
or fine hair. The unique blend of polymers and

This spray is not just about hairstyling, as their

enhance the texture of the hair and help reduce
hair and scalp aging at the cellular level. It has
been designed to improve follicle health and reduce hair loss.
Application tips : Apply on wet or damp hair.
Spray 2 to 4 pumps evenly throughout your hair.
Work the mist through your hair with your finger
tips. Blow dry with warm or hot air to activate the
volumizing components of the mist. Once hair is
completely dry, the mist is set and thickening fibers can be applied for an even fuller look.

One of their most stand out product is the SureThik Hair Thickening Fibers. This product instantly builds volume and density while covering
thinning areas in 10 seconds. It is 100% organic
keratin protein that has been precision cut with
a laser into tiny micro-sized fibers. These microscopic “hair fibers” are electro-statically charged.
They build upon existing hair to produce dramatic
new density, volume and total coverage. It works
for both men or women. It comes in a variety of 8
hair colour shades — including grey hair!
Application tips : Use on dry hair. Shake the fibers
over the thinning area, while separating sections
of hair with a comb or fingers.
Gently pat down with hands and lightly brush fibers through. Repeat for extra volume and coverage. Fibers last till your next hair wash. This can
also be used as dry shampoo.

As you can see from the “Before” and “After”,
the hair does look dramatically fuller and the
scalp is no longer visible after using the SureThik Hair Thickening Fibers. The shade I’m using
is Dark Brown. I think I’m sort of a mix between
Dark Brown and Black, but if you comb the fibers through, any colour difference is not really
noticeable. It was very quick and easy to apply,
however when you try to shake the fibers onto
areas closer to the hairline, I found it got a little
bit messy and some of the fibers would fall onto
my forehead. Also, once everything is in place,
you can’t really run your hands through your hair,
otherwise you’ll get some of the hair fibers onto
your hand. And I’d probably advise to wear clothing of similar colour to the fibers just to be safe.
I find it works best for a blow dry and style.
Overall, this is a great temporary product for
those that may be experiencing some mild hair
loss or mild thinning of the hair. It would definitely make one feel less self-conscious about their
hair and help regain confidence. My thoughts are
this would be great for special occasions.
As a makeup artist and hairstylist, I think this is
going to be a must-have for my hair kit, as I get a
lot of bridal clients with fine or thinning hair [especially the Mother of the Bride’s], so this would
work well for those situations. The hair thickening
fibers actually remind me of a trick my makeup
instructor taught us back in the day. He told us
to apply brown eyeshadow on someone’s scalp
if it was showing too much through their hair. He
said it removes the glare and contrast when being photographed. As you can see in my “Before”
and “After” photo, the SureThik Hair Thickening
Fibers does just that!
I didn’t notice any droppage, as the fibers do
cling to your hair due to the electro-static charge,
but you never know as the day wears on.

As for the Thickening Mist, it is non-sticky [as
advertised] and you can still run your fingers
through your hair after styling. Great for everyday use, as it’s not heavy and doesn’t have much
build-up.
