RULES OF THE 3 ON 3 TOURNAMENT
1.
The Game shall be played by two teams of three players each. -Each team must have 3 players to start the game.
2.
The playing court shall be one half of a basketball court.
3.
A game will begin with both teams agreeing on one player to shoot for possession.
4.
To win a Game, a team will either score 15 points first or after a 20 minute period, the team with the most points
wins.
5.
Baskets are worth 1 point or 2 points if scored behind the three point arc.
6.
After a basket, possession goes to the team scored upon unless it is a penalty situation (described below).
7.
No foul shots will be taken unless in a penalty situation (described below).
8.
If the offense does not hit the rim and the defence gets the ball, they need to take the ball
out to the half way line before trying to score.
9.
Players will call their own fouls in game and on a streetball court.
10.
Depending on the number of teams entering, will determine the number of rounds required.
11.
Winner of each game stays and plays on. The first team to register five wins becomes the 3 on 3 champions.
12.
Teams need to register by 5.00pm Friday 2nd June. Information will be posted on our website:
www.ymcalaunceston.org by 9.00pm Friday 2nd June.

Teams may be mixed, no matter the gender or age …. GAME ON!

GLOW IN THE DARK BASKETBALL
1. Enter your team into the Glow in the Dark Basketball round.
2. All teams will to have a minimum of 4 players to commence, but 5
players on the court is allowed.
3. Teams need to register by 5.00pm Friday 2nd June.
4. Game times will be posted on our website:
www.ymcalaunceston.org by 9.00pm Friday 2nd June.
5. Teams maybe mixed, no matter the gender or age … Game on!
6. Games will consist of 2 x 15 minute halves and teams will compete
in a round robin. (Depending on the number of entries will
determine the number of pools required)
7. Winning team of each pool will play off for First place. Winning
team to be awarded a Glow in the Dark surprise!
