WhatisMyTeachingStrategies™?
MyTeachingStrategies™providesasingleentrypointforallofTeachingStrategies’
digitalclassroomsolutions.Itoffersoneonlinelocationforaccessingmanyofthedigital
tools,resources,andsupportthattogether,makeupwhatweknowtobetheessential
piecesofhigh-qualityclassroompractice:teachingandassessing,reporting,ongoing
professionaldevelopment,andfamilyengagement.Youwillnowhaveasinglelocation
foraccessingdigitalsupportforbuildingrelationshipswitheachchild;forconnecting
assessmentdatawithinstructionalplans;forcutting-edge,accuratereporting;for
improvingandrefiningteachingpractice;forgrowingprofessionalknowledge;for
strengtheningconnectionswithfamilies;andmuchmore.
ExistingGOLD®andGOLDplus®userswillfindthesamefeaturesandsupportthatthey
arealreadyfamiliarwith,butwithanew,intuitive,user-friendlyinterface.Youwillalso
findnewopportunitiesforincorporatingongoingonlineprofessionaldevelopment,
digitalcurriculumcomponents,andeventually,communityandfamilyfeaturesto
furthersupportyourwork.
ResultsMatteruserswillnowhaveaccesstoallofthegreatnewfeaturesavailableto
ColoradoKindergarteneducatorsincludingtheReportCardandexpandedprogressions
ofdevelopmentandlearning.
IsResultsMattermovingtothesameplatformandlicenseaspublickindergartens?
ResultsMatterandpublickindergartensinColoradowillbeonthesameplatform,
MyTeachingStrategies™,beginningFall2017-18.However,ResultsMatterandkindergartens
willnotbeunderthesameorganizationallicense,duetodifferingassessmentandreporting
requirements,suchasusingtheKEAReducedObjectives/Dimensionsinkindergartenandthe
OSEPreportingsuiteinResultsMatter.TeachingStrategieshascommittedtodevelopingaway
totransferstudentrecordsbetweenlicensesbySummer2017.
WillschooldistrictsbeabletotransferstudentrecordsbetweenResultsMatterand
kindergartenlicenses?
Yes,butonlybetweentheschooldistrict'slicenses,notacrossdistricts/programs.TheColorado
DepartmentofEducationandTeachingStrategieswillberevisingpoliciesandprocedureson
studentrecordtransfersinthenearfuture.

DoIneedtoretakeInterraterReliability(IRR)ifmycurrentcertificationdoesnot
expireuntil2018orlater?
No.InterraterReliabilitystatuswillcarryover,andyoucanrenewonceyourthree-year
certificationexpires.Wedo,however,encourageGOLD®userswhoarenewtotheexpanded
BirththroughThirdGradeprogressionstofamiliarizethemselveswiththeupdated
progressionsofdevelopmentandlearning.WefindthatparticipatinginInterraterReliability
isagreatwaytodothis!Pleasenote,allColoradoResultsMattereducatorswhoarenewto
GOLD®arerequiredtocompleteInterraterReliabilitycertificationbeforetheybegin
finalizingcheckpointratingsforthefirsttime.
HowdoesthisupgradeimpacttheOfficeofSpecialEducationPrograms(OSEP)
reportingfunctionalityinGOLD®?
AllColoradoResultsMatteruserswillcontinuetohaveaccesstothesereportsoverthe
summer.Anychangestothefunctionalitywillbeworkflowimprovementsandoutput
improvements.OSEPwillcontinuetobearequirementforpreschoolerswithdisabilities.
Howmuchwillportfolioscost?
Portfolioswillcontinuetocost$9.95forResultsMatterusers.

certainindicatorshavebeenadjusted;someitemshavebeensplitintomultiple
dimensions;andsomecoloredbandshavebeenadjustedslightly.
Themajorityofchangestotheobjectivesfordevelopmentandlearningdonotaffect
preschool–thesechangesprimarilyaffectkindergartenandhighergradelevels.Afew
newdimensionshavebeenadded,primarilyinmathematicsandliteracy,whosewidely
heldexpectationsare“NotYet”foranycoloredbandsbeforepurple/kindergarten.A
detailedlistofchangestotheobjectivesfordevelopmentandlearningareavailable
uponrequest.
IfyouarecurrentlysetupwiththeBirththroughKindergartenprogressions,youwill
continuewiththesefortheremainderofthisschoolyear,andonlybetransitionedinto
theBirththroughThirdGradeprogressionsforthe2017-2018schoolyear.
Willwebeabletorunreportsacrossmultipleyears(priortotheupgradeandpostupgrade)?WillIbeabletogeneratereportsonarchiveddata?
LikethecurrentfunctionalityinGOLD®,youwillbeabletogeneratereportsforacheckpoint
period,orformultiplecheckpointperiods,withinthesameyear.Youwillstillbeableto
generatereportsincludingarchiveddata,andwillcontinuetobeabletogeneratereportson
previousBirththroughKindergartendata.Youwillnotbeabletoruncertainreportsthat
comparedatabetweenyearsondifferentODLs,butyouwillstillhaveaccesstorunthe
ComparativeReportatthearealevelacrossmultipleyears.
HavetheupdatedGOLD®progressionsbeenalignedtomystate’sstandards?
Asprogramsbegintoupgradetotheexpandedprogressionsthroughthirdgrade,Teaching
Strategieswillworkwiththemtoseewhichalignmentswillneedupdates.
