BATH CITY FC ACADEMY EDUCATION
PROGRAMME
The Bath City FC Academy is open to talented footballers that
have a desire to make it in the professional game. You will
represent Bath College & Bath City FC Academy on and off the
field playing in league and cup games throughout the season.
The Bath City FC Academy encompasses vocational education
pathways in sport, high level coaching with an emphasis on
player development and strength and conditioning.
High Level Coaching & Player Development
Players will receive two full training sessions a week at the
newly built Odd Down training centre with former professional
footballer and UEFA A license coach Billy Clark. Billy is also
supported by goalkeeper coach Steve Phillips. Games and
training are recorded and analysed to develop the players’
game awareness. All league and cup matches are built into the
academic timetable; Home matches for Bath City under 18s
(South West Counties Youth League) are played at Twerton Park
on Saturday mornings, Bath College matches (ECFA Cat 1) are
played at Odd Down on Wednesday afternoons. Many players
have progressed to train and play for the Bath City first team or
go on to study at the University of Bath and represent the club’s
U21s. Others have gone on to play senior football at local senior
clubs or gain scholarships in USA.
Strength & Conditioning
Players receive a full strength and conditioning training session
per week with a focus on the player’s physical and physiological
development. The session takes place in our gym at Bath
College City Centre Campus.
Education Programme
All academy players must be enrolled on to one of our
