Anotace
Výukový materiál je určen k výkladu pro
žáky 8. ročníku učebního předmětu Anglický
jazyk. Žáci se seznámí formou prezentace a
následného přiřazování pojmů s tématy
roční období a klima.
SEASONS AND CLIMATE
There are four seasons in the year:
WINTER
SPRING
SUMMER
AUTUMN
Season-Roční období, winter-zima, spring-jaro, summer-léto, autumn-podzim
WINTER
It is the coldest season of the year. It starts on
22.12. and ends on 20.3.
Days are short and nights are long.
The temperature drops to minus degrees.
People enjoy iceskating on frozen lakes and
ponds. Many of them go skiing to mountains.
Children love building snowmen and sliding hills
on sledges.

SPRING
It starts on 21.03. and ends on 19.06.
It is probably the nicest season of the year. The
nature wakes up. Flowers and trees bloom.
Many baby animals are born in this time of the
year. The temperature is very pleasant up to 20
degrees of celsia. Days are longer so people
tend to stay outside untill late hours. Going for
walks, riding bycikles or working in the gardens.

SUMMER
The hottest season of the year. It starts on
20.06. and ends on 22.09.
Temperature can rise up to 30 degrees and
more. Children have their summer holiday in
July and August. The most of them spend time
by the river or swimming pools. Enjoying free
time with their friends. People spend more time
at their cottages. Having parties and barbecues.

AUTUMN
It is probably the less favourite season for many
people. It is getting darker and colder. There are
changes in peoples mood. They tend to be sad
and depressed. It starts on 23.09. and ends on
21.12. The nature is getting ready for the
„winter sleep“. Trees loose their leaves.
Temperature is low.
