STORM NETBALL CLUB 50-50 CLUB
Introduction
Storm Netball Club is introducing a ‘50-50 Club’ to raise much needed funds
for increased training costs at Carn Brea, kit and travel. This type of scheme
is commonly run amongst clubs and charities as a form of additional
revenue.
It's very simple... All you have to do is buy a minimum monthly stake of £2.
You increase your chances of winning with the more stakes you purchase.
Each month, all the stakes are pooled together and 35% of the monthly prize
money goes to one lucky winner who is drawn at the last training session of
each month, with a 2nd cash prize of 10%, and a 3rd prize of 5% of the total
fund. So, the more money in the pot each month, the bigger the prize! The
remaining 50% is donated to Storm Netball Club.
For example: if there are 50 stakes placed in a calendar month, this would
provide a prize fund of £100 which would give a lucky winner £35 cash, with
a runner-up receiving £10 and a 3rd prize of £5. £50 would go to Storm
Netball funds. Over a 12 month period this would increase Storm’s income by
£600!!!!
The 50-50 Club is open to all members and supporters of Storm, both
Seniors and Juniors; those U16 are nominated by a fee paying parent/carer.
Payments are made by a monthly Standing Order to Storm Netball Club, the
same arrangement as the monthly subscription fee. Payments have to be
made by the 7th day of the month, which will entitle the applicant to enter
the following month’s draw, as the bank statement (which is a month in
arrears) has to be checked to determine the prize fund. This means that if
you pay by 7th July 2012, you will be entered in the first draw that will take
place during the last training session of August 2012.

Terms & Conditions
1. Governance
1.1 Storm Netball 50-50 Club will be managed by the Storm Netball Club Executive
Committee (Committee).
1.2 Membership is open to all affiliated players and supporters of the Club.
1.3 Members of the 50-50 Club will be over 16 years of age, or for Juniors,
subscriptions would be purchased by their parents or carers.
1.4 No restriction will be placed on the amount of entries that may be purchased by
any one individual.
1.5 Draws will be made on a monthly calendar basis; the draw taking place at the
last Senior training session of the month.
1.6 The draw will take place in the presence of the ‘Sponsor’ (organiser of the draw,
or appointed representative) and at least 2 members of the Committee.
1.7 Members will be invited to witness the draw.
1.8 The Executive Committee can terminate the Club at any point in time; any
overpayments made by participants will be refunded by Storm Netball Club.
1.9 Any concerns or complaints relating to the running of the 50-50 Club shall be
directed to the Executive Committee.
2 Membership and Subscriptions
2.1 Payment shall be made by a separate Standing Order to Storm Netball Club, in
addition to any instruction already in place for membership subscription(s).
2.2 Standing Orders should be payable to ‘Storm Netball Club’, to the same account
used for the membership subscription (details can be obtained from the
Committee); the Order should be titled ‘50-50 Club’.
2.3 Payment should be received by the 7th day of the month preceding that which
the draw is to take place (to enable bank receipts to be checked). Moneys
received after this date will be included in the following month’s draw; the
applicant(s) will not be entitled to participate in the current month’s draw.
2.3 The monthly fee will be £2.00 per entry.
2.4 In the event of non-payment by the due date, membership of the 50-50 Club will
be terminated with immediate effect.
3 Prizes and Publicity
3.1 Only fully paid-up 50-50 Club members will be included in the monthly draw.
3.2 The prize fund will consist of 50% of the month’s income; the remaining 50% will
be deposited in Storm Netball’s account.
3.3 Cash prizes will be allocated on the following basis:
First Prize = 1 X 35% of the income.
Second Prize = 1 X 10%
Third Prize = 1 X 5%
3.4 All prizes will be paid as cheques from the Storm Netball Club account.
3.5 The monthly Prize Fund, together with the names of the winners will be
published on the Storm Netball website each month, immediately after the draw
has taken place.
