Page 3 of 10 About this Guide This document is for teachers and administrators who need to set up Play@Home for their students. Imagine Learning Play@Home is an extension of your students’ classroom experience that helps them learn the necessary skills to master English literacy. Before your students can begin using Play@Home, you must complete the setup steps outlined in this guide. Copyright © Imagine Learning, Inc. Page 4 of 10 Assigning students to a Play@Home group Before your students can begin using Play@Home, you need to assign them to a Play@Home group. To assign students to a Play@Home group: 1. In a web browser, enter the name or IP address of your Imagine Learning Server. 2. When the Welcome screen appears, click Manager Login in the top right-hand corner of the screen. 3. When prompted, enter your username and password and click Log In. 4. Navigate to Setup > Students. 5. Navigate to your organization and class. Then expand the My Students group to view your list of students. Tip: Click the icon to display the members of an organization or group in Imagine Manager. Copyright © Imagine Learning, Inc. Page 5 of 10 6. Select the students that you want to place in the Play@Home group and click Assign Student to Group in the Tasks sidebar on the right-hand side of the screen. Important: Students must have an Imagine Learning password defined as part of their student profile in order to be added to a Play@Home group. (For more information on student setup and passwords, see “Set Up Students” in the Imagine Learning Training Guide.) Tip: To select multiple students, press and hold the Ctrl key on your keyboard and select each student. To select all students, press and hold the Shift key on your keyboard, select the first student on the list, and then select the last student on the list. Copyright © Imagine Learning, Inc. Page 6 of 10 7. When the Assign Student to Group window appears, navigate to your class, select the Play@Home group, and click OK. 8. Verify that the students were assigned correctly by expanding the Play@Home group within your class. Note: When you assign students to the Play@Home group, they appear in both the My Students group and the Play@Home group. Printing or saving Play@Home certificates Each Play@Home certificate contains a unique registration code that allows the student to set up his or her personalized Play@Home login. You can either print and distribute your students’ certificates in class or save the certificates and send them electronically to parents. To print Play@Home certificates for students: 1. Page 9 of 10 7. When the View Report page appears, you can either print or save the Play@Home certificates. To print the certificates, select the icon (or the Print Report button if you are using Google Chrome) in the top left-hand corner of the screen. Note: Each student should receive his or her own certificate containing a unique registration code that allows the student to set up his or her personalized Play@Home login. To save the certificates, select the icon in the top left-hand corner of the screen (or the in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen if you are using Google Chrome). icon Tip: If you want to, attach the saved file to an email to send an electronic copy of the certificate to parents.
