Length of appointment This is a permanent post 1 SQA JOB PROFILE Section 1 Job Title Business Area Job Grade Responsible to: Responsible for: Job Purpose Job Details Administrator Assessment Materials & Publishing 3 Officer No line management responsibility To provide administration support for the production of Question Papers and related materials (CD’s Videos and marking Instructions) for annual exam diet whilst maintaining security at all times and adhering to strict deadlines. 2 Section 2 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 Specific Duties of this post Issue and return of 1st proof and draft materials, and subsequent revisions, up to and including final proof stage to Qualifications Managers, Principal Assessors and Setters for comment on both current diet Question Papers, Contingency Question Papers and also for Specimen Question Papers where required. After processing, forward all papers to desktop publishing for amendment before arranging further check by Qualifications Managers prior to print. Liaise with confidential printers on a daily basis regarding the production and checking of perfect proofs and final prints for examination papers within tabled deadlines. Issue copies of Final Prints to Qualifications Managers and Principal Assessors for final check and also issue Final Prints to Principal Assessors and Setters for the provision of Marking Instructions, which are required for use at markers meetings during the examination diet. Assist with the arrangements for the production of CD’s and disks for Modern languages, Music and a Video for Physical Education, by arranging the recording studio, issuing letters to Principal Assessors, Setters and Native Speakers, preparing all recording materials and finally producing payment schedules for Native Speakers. Issue copies of Final Proofs to Scrutineers for comment on the papers. These comments are then issued to the Principal Assessors and Qualifications Manager and any necessary amendments are actioned after all checks are completed. Assist with the arrangements for the distribution of Question Papers and related items to centres prior to and during the examination diet, to ensure all candidates receive a copy of the Question Papers on the exam date. Daily Internal/External distribution of Question papers and related items during examination period to Directors of Education and various other bodies along with internal requirements. Supervision of temporary distribution staff. Assist with the preparation of Marking Instructions (includes proof reading) for subsequent issue to markers by External assessment.
