KENILWORTH CARNIVAL QUEEN and KING 2017

The 2017 Carnival Queen and King and their attendants will be selected on Saturday 4 March, 7.15pm, at the
Priory Theatre, Rosemary Hill, Kenilworth.
Conditions of Entry
All entrants must live in Kenilworth or one of the surrounding villages of Ashow, Beausale, Burton Green
Crackley, Honiley, Leek Wootton, Hill Wootton, Meer End or Stoneleigh. Applicants must be prepared to
participate in Carnival Day, Saturday 1 July and attend various Kenilworth events throughout the year.
Carnival Queen/King/Maids of Honour
Entrants (married or single) must be aged between 15-25 years inclusive on Carnival Day, 1 July 2017.
Carnival Princess
Girls must be aged between 12 and 14 years inclusive on Carnival Day, 1 July 2017.
Junior Attendants
Girls must be aged between 8 and 11 years inclusive on Carnival Day, 1 July 2017.
Boys must be aged between 6 and 9 years inclusive on Carnival Day, 1 July 2017.
Please note: Winners from previous years are not eligible to enter. Please note that on the evening the
committee MAY change the ages group of the categories, depending on the number of entrants.
Prizes
Kenilworth Carnival Queen and King will receive £100, Maids of Honour will each receive £50,
Carnival Princess will receive £25 and Junior Attendants will each receive £10. In addition, all winners
will receive a souvenir portrait photograph. All prizes will be awarded at an official Presentation
Evening later in the year.
