Praying Parents The next prayer meeting will be held on Monday 27 March at 9.15am in the library. This is open to anyone with an interest in praying for all that goes on within and around Meadow Bridge and we would be particularly delighted to welcome new people to our meeting. Our time includes a cuppa, and lasts up to an hour or as long as you can stay. Dates for the rest of the year are as follows: Monday 24 April Monday 22 May Monday 19 June Girls’ Football Fun Day On Tuesday past, 14 girls from P5 and P6 were delighted to get the chance to attend a Girls’ Football Fun Day run by IFA U19 coaches and players at Lisburn Leisureplex. The girls had the chance to take part in a number of different fun activities with players from different schools, meet some of the Northern Ireland U19 players, and even got a goodie bag at the end! Downshire Rugby Blitz Tournament On Thursday 16 March, a group of P5 - P6 boys represented Meadow Bridge at the Downshire Rugby Blitz Tournament. Our players had a very enjoyable afternoon and proved to be very competitive in round-robin matches of contact rugby. We secured a draw against Moneyreagh (0-0) and two wins against Downshire B (1-0) and Academy B (5-1). Given that these matches were against mostly P.7 pupils, we were delighted with our determination in defence and use of skills during the games. Our boys must also be commended for playing in a sportsman-like manner during the afternoon and were commended for their manners. We had an amazing troop of parental support on the side-lines too! A Big Thank you from Via Wings Link Committee and Miss Wortley would like to thank everyone for their generous donations to Via Wings. The children heard today about the work of Via Wings in Dromore and where their items were going. The children were delighted with the response and hope to visit Via Wings in the future.
