Woodhaven T-Ball Playing Rules
1. Each game will be four (4) innings long. No inning shall start after one hour and fifteen minutes of play,
but the inning will be completed if started. A new inning begins with the last out of previous inning.
2. Each inning, both teams will bat their entire line-up. At any time during the inning, if three (3) outs are
reached before the entire line-up has batted, the bases will be cleared and the batting will continue
until the entire line-up has batted.
3. There can be two offensive base coaches on the field (first and third bases).
4. Defensive coaches may position themselves with the outfield.
5. Every player bats each inning.
6. Ten players will be on the field defensively. Four infielders, four outfielders, and one at the pitching
position. No player can sit on the bench two consecutive innings. In the event eleven players are
present the defense will consist of nine players on the field with two sitting.
7. Each inning, the defensive players should play a different position than they previously played in that
particular game.
8. Every offensive player must wear a helmet when batting or running the bases. The defensive catcher
must wear a mask. Helmets should also be worn during practices.
9. Home team must furnish one (1) new baseball per game. The baseball MUST be official T-Ball or Level 1
baseball.
10. A batter who throws his or her bat will be warned by the coach.
11. Coaches are responsible for “T” adjustments of individual batters.
12. A batter is allowed a maximum of five (5) swings to put the ball in fair play.
13. Last batter of inning will continue to run until she or he is tagged out or ball is returned to catcher who
will touch home plate.
