Accordingly to the demand of visitors that Tatyshev Island receives daily. It has been characterized
as the central axis of the city in different aspects of everyday for the inhabitants in the area. It’s
not only thought of this space as a place of recreation and entertainment but also as a space with
multiple functions that are able to meet the demands of their inhabitants. The following Project
proposes a place which highlights the importance of the site. Proposing spaces to its main actors.
Young people, families and pensioners.
Subzero City is the result of a process of ideas that seeks, in addition to solve the existing demand
for activities of its inhabitants and create new opportunities of occupation of space as much as in
the cultural aspect as simple recreation .
For the main concept of the project takes into account the importance of the natural park
environment. Since the island itself already presents an aesthetics of great beauty. Thanks to this,
Is sought to respect the lines of the visual landscape preserving the image of the site, attributing
new features to this, through the creation of spaces that act as triggers in different activities that
are now being made in that area.
For the implementation of the project is the creation of spaces under the ground level. These
spaces take advantage of the current image of site and this in turn will be enriched with this.
The project has a permanent area of :
-Shopping and entertainment zone

This area it is of the utmost importance in the project because it provides the transition of the interior with
the outside through open spaces creating multiple activities for its inhabitants depending on the time of
year

-Outdoor Forum
This area in addition to provide an outdoor forum It’s intended that during the winter resorts is carried out
the creation of an igloo of large dimensions functioning as a dome of ice that protect the outdoor forum.

To the top of the project, which works as a slab of the underground part, will be equipped to fulfill the
function of a large ice rink in winter with approximately 21000 m2. This will pose various activities at the
top. During the summer the area will opt to operate as a large water mirror that enhances the beauty of the
site

And In addition to these areas, raised areas particularly in the winter, therefore more than
buildings are events that work timelessly. One of these examples is the big maze built mainly
through snow blocks for the entertainment of the inhabitants.
With the present project it is aimed to the creation of a multi-functional space for its inhabitants.

site in addition to provide various spaces that change function depending on the climate of the
site.
