No Junior Varsity Girls Game – Pawnee City does not have enough girls available to play a junior varsity
game on Friday, January 8th. The junior varsity boys’ game has been moved to start at 4:30, varsity girls at
6:00 and varsity boys to follow.
Soup Supper at Pawnee City – The Pawnee City Student Council is holding a soup supper on Friday,
January 8th beginning at 5:00 p.m. Scroll down for more information.
Game Time Changes – On Saturday, January 9th the Junior Varsity boys and girls basketball games both
begin at 2:30, but only 3 quarters will be played. The Varsity girls’ game will start at 3:30 and the varsity boys’
game will now begin at 5:00.
MUDECAS NEXT WEEK – The MUDECAS Conference basketball games will be held in Beatrice next
week. Freeman girls will play at 3:30 on Monday, January 11th and the boys will have their first round on
Tuesday, January 12th at 5:00 p.m.

SECONDARY STUDENTS
Ill Student Protocol - Students who are not feeling well and wish to be dismissed from school are to report to
the office where they will be given a make-up sheet to take around to teachers of the classes they will miss.
They are to hand in assignments that are due that day BEFORE leaving and get the assignments for the next
day. While said student is talking to their teachers the office will call a parent/guardian to get permission for the
student to leave if that student drives or arrange transportation for the student if they ride a bus or are incapable
of driving home safely.
Many students are sidestepping this protocol and contacting parents/guardians directly during class time.
High School Quiz Bowl Tryouts: January 25th during 4th period IAP in Mrs. O'Connor's room. Please add
