Dodgeball Minimum 30, maximum 60 players. Touch Tennis A fast paced game where the aim is to try and catch players on the opposing team out by throwing balls at them, while avoiding being hit yourself. Energetic and fun, Dodgeball will bring out the competitiveness in everyone. Team spirit and the enjoyment of repeatedly outwitting opponents with clever manoeuvres is the name of this game. Played on a reduced size court with foam balls, teams are playing to score as many points as possible within the six minutes per game. Don’t worry – the balls used are soft sponge coated! Minimum 24, maximum 60 players. Particularly good for beginners. Mini Olympics Minimum 24, maximum 60 players. Participants are encouraged to work together and have fun whilst competing with the other teams for the top position in the league table. A choice of the following activities: 1. Sharp Shooter Basketball with a twist – Players shoot for the hoop then collect the ball and run to the back of the line, where the ball is then passed ‘Over’ (over the head) and ‘Under’ (through the legs) alternatively until it reaches the player at the front of the line. The pattern is then repeated until three minutes is up. 2. Target Practice Badminton with Goals – Players take it in turns to hit a shuttlecock over the net to land on or in targets during three minute games. There is only one bat and one shuttlecock, so the teams must work together to decide how to collect the shuttlecock quickly in order to score as many points as possible. 3. Bat Madness Team Table Tennis – Teams play a continuous rally for points. A player hits the ball then runs to the other side of the table. There are only three bats per team so players must work out how to pass the bats to colleagues and where to start. Each team has three minutes and a point is scored each time the ball lands on the other side of the table. If the ball is missed or a foul committed the rally restarts and so does the counting! 4. Pendulum Kettlebell Swing – Teams stand in a line then ‘swing’ a Kettletbell to each other, passing it between the team and then back again. The end player must swing the kettlebell to touch an official. Each team has three minutes to complete as many full ‘swings’ as possible. 5. Bounce Bucket Tennis – The team have to get tennis balls from one bucket to another – simple! All players have a bat and must hit the balls to team mates. The first player takes the ball from the bucket and hits the ball down the line until the final player hits it in to the target. However – the ball must not touch the ground and there can be more than one ball in play at a time, so concentration is key! 6. Rebound Catch and Run – The team stands in a line facing the wall while player one throws the ball against the wall for player two to catch, who throws against the wall for player three…and so on. Player five catches the ball and puts it in the bucket then runs back to re-join the team. More than one ball can be in play – but the runner can only run with one ball at a time. 7. Steps Move Your Team - The aim of the game is to move your team across the Sports Hall and back on mats. Teams have three mats and must always be stood on a mat, but there can be no more than three people on a mat at any one time. A point is scored every time a mat is placed down on the floor at the start of the ‘steps’. 2016CS074 The challenge comes from keeping your position, which must not change in the allocated three minutes. • Tel: 0300 555 0214 • Email: [email protected] • Reed Hall Streatham Drive Exeter EX4 4QR www.eventexeter.com
