Role Profile Role Details Job Title: Lifestyle Coach Organisation: East Dunbartonshire Leisure & Culture Trust Service: Leisure Reporting to: Indicative Grade & Salary Range: Work Location: Grade 5, £18,650 - £21,059 (Pro-Rata) (pending full job evaluation review) Kirkintilloch Leisure Centre Hours: Children’s Multi-Sport & Disability Programme Co-ordinator 21 hours per week Role Purpose Responsible for the successful co-ordination and delivery of community based healthy lifestyle programmes, incorporating education and wider community settings in line with local outcomes. Oversee the general safety and behaviour of participants in the programmes to prevent injury, misuse and damage to equipment, while promoting a fun learning environment to encourage future engagement. Maintain Sports Development Team objectives by contributing to team working and flexibility, contributing to the overall success of the Trust. Work towards the continuous improvement of service delivery of the Sports Development Team Role Accountabilities & Key Activities Operational Delivery Schedule assessments, start dates and follow ups providing support to encourage engagement in the programmes. Plan, organise and deliver a range of appropriate activities identified within the programmes in order to support children and families to make sustainable changes towards leading healthier lives. Undertake 1:1 assessments with children & families, recording appropriate data to ensure suitability for the programme. Coordinate, prepare and deliver a school’s based healthy lifestyle programme with support from teachers Support the delivery of community based healthy lifestyle programmes with key partners. Collect and process data to appropriate IT systems and maintain accurate records, preparing reports required in order to monitor, evaluate and develop programme. Assemble and dismantle equipment required to ensure aims of lesson are met and delivered in a fun, enjoyable manner. Partnership Working Work with East Dunbartonshire Health & Social Care Partnership, schools and local community groups to raise awareness and encourage participation in the programmes. Establish and maintain close links with key partners including Health Improvement Team, Active Schools, Community Clubs and Sports Development to ensure effective pathways are created. Liaise with key partner organisations to establish referral routes and encourage sign posting on to the programmes. Customer Service Delivery Focus on the highest quality service to customers and visitors to East Dunbartonshire. Ensure that customers receive the best service possible and are always made to feel valued. Maintain a sense of organisational pride at all times in serving both our customers and stakeholders. Support the implementation of an appropriate quality system for Sports Development, ensuring all identified areas for improvement are addressed.
