Primary 1 to Primary 7 Sports Day – Thank You
Fortunately the rain stayed away and we were able to get our Annual School Sports Day
completed last week. Well done to everyone for taking part so well in all the Sports Day Races.
This is an important occasion in the life of school and it was great to see so many children
participating and enjoying the activities. Thank you to all our school staff for the organisation of
each of these enjoyable events and also to the large number of parents who came along to support
the school and encourage the children. Thank you also to Cregagh Sports Club for allowing us to
use their wonderful facilities
End of Term Reports
Primary 1 to Primary 7 End of Term Progress Reports have been sent home today - Monday 27th
June 2016 - in sealed envelopes. These reports are primarily for Parent/Guardians. They are
intended to inform you of your child’s ability, progress, attitude to work and social development
within school. At Harding Memorial Primary School we try hard to build self-esteem and
therefore children get positive feedback on a daily basis from their class teachers. Nevertheless as
children are taught in differentiated ability groups, some of the contents of the report may not be
beneficial for you to share with your child.
 If you discuss the report with your child, please emphasise the
positive points and praise the effort made by each individual child.
Goodbye To Primary 7
The month of June is always a mixture of memories, celebrations, farewells and looking forward
for our Primary 7 pupils. As we says goodbye to these children we wish them every success and
happiness in their new schools and hope that they bring enthusiasm and dedication to all the
opportunities that will come their way in the days ahead. We hope that they will look back upon
their Primary School career with happy memories. Thank you to everyone associated with
Harding for their help and support over the past year in so many different ways. Thank you to
our teachers and support staff who continue to work so incredibly hard for all our children. To all
who are leaving – Children, Staff and indeed Parents who have also had a long association with
our school, thank you and best wishes for the future. We look forward to a warm, safe and restful
summer break.
End of Term Arrangements
 School will stop for all P1 – P7 pupils on Thursday 30th June at 12.15pm.
 Pupils do not need to wear school uniform on Thursday 30th June 2016
New School Year arrangements at Harding Memorial Primary School 2016/2017
The first day of Term for Primary 2 – Primary 7 pupils will be on Wednesday 31st
August 2016 at the normal time of 8.55am. School will stop at 12.15pm on
Wednesday 31st August 2016 for P2 – P7 children with no school dinners
available.
 Starting arrangements for Primary 1 pupils have been individually distributed to
Primary 1 Parent/Guardians
 Primary 2 – Primary 7 classes will be dismissed at 2.00pm on Thursday 1st
September and Friday 2nd September 2016.
 Primary 4 – Primary 7 Pupils will stay in school until their normal stopping time
from Monday 5th September 2016.
