COUNSELLING GUIDELINES FOR CANDIDATES
FIRST COUNSELLING
Seat would be allotted to the candidate based on his/her rank, category and sub category as
per the policy of Delhi Government.
Candidate should log in to the online admission website for checking his allotment status. The
candidate home page would contain seat allotment details of candidate.
Allotted candidates need to download and print the “Provisional allotment letter” and report
to the allotted ITI. He /She would have following choices:(1)
Freezing the allotted seat: If the candidate is satisfied with the seat allotted to him/her and
does not want to participate in subsequent rounds of counseling then he/she needs to freeze
his/her allotted seat by filling the appropriate form. For freezing of seats the candidate needs
do the following :-
a. Print out of Provisional Allotment letter and verification slip.
b. Present all his original certificates (marks sheet, category certificates, sub category
certificates etc) and deposit set of self attested photocopies of documents at the
allotted ITI.
c. Submit applicable fee as per prospectus.
After completing the above formalities and verification of allotment data of the candidate with
original documents, a provisional admission slip would be generated.
There after provisionally admitted candidate needs to submit the following documents in
original in prescribed format given in prospectus at allotted ITI for confirmation of his/her
admission.

Medical fitness certificate.
Anti ragging.
Undertaking
Character certificate (up to 6 months old)
Photocopy Copy of Aadhar Card
Bank account details (Copy of cancelled cheque, IFSC, MICR CODE).
(2) Upgrading: Up gradation means that allotted candidate wants to participate in next
counseling for allotment of higher choice seat. If a better choice seat is allotted to the
candidate in next round then he/she would lose the previously allotted seat. If no
upgraded seat is allotted than candidate would retain his/her previously allotted seat.
For up gradation candidate MUST visit the allotted institute with provisional allotment letter
and fill the appropriate form for up gradation. Candidate need to get his original certificates verified at
allotted ITI.
Note: If after allotment of seat, candidate DOES NOT REPORT to the allotted ITI then his/her seat
would be CANCELLED and he/she would be out of admission process.
Non allotted candidates would automatically participate in next counseling.
* Cut off rank for each trade category/sub category wise would be displayed on the website for the
convenience of candidates.
CHOICE FILLING AFTER FIRST ROUND OF COUNSELLING
NON ALLOTTED CANDIDATES/VERIFIED CANDIDATES WHO HAVE NOT FILLED ANY TRADE CHOICES
AND UPGRADED CANDIDATES* OF PREVIOUS ROUND CAN ADD /DELETE /RESHUFFLE THEIR CHOICE
AFTER FIRST COUNSELLING. CHOICE FILLING GUIDELINES ARE PROVIDED SEPERATELY ON THE PORTAL.
*Only for candidates who have opted for up gradation and wants to reshuffle and/or add
/delete choices before next counseling: For upgraded candidates the allotted trade which they
are holding would be shown in different color in the choice filling module and cannot be deleted.
However the candidate can add/delete trades / ITI choices and/or reshuffle the preference of
choices. Only the Trade/ITI choices which are above the trade/ITI choice (of higher preference),
which the candidate is already holding would be considered for allotment in next round of
counseling. The Trade /ITI choices below the already held trade would not be considered for
allotment.
SECOND COUNSELLING
During second counseling there would be following types of candidate:1. Upgraded candidates of first counseling: There would be two kinds of such
candidates:a. Candidates who were allotted a new higher choice seat: Such candidates have to
compulsorily visit allotted ITI for freezing or upgrading their seat. Procedure for up
gradation & freezing is same as given in first counseling.
b. Candidates who are still retaining their previously allotted seats: Such candidates
have to compulsorily visit allotted ITI for freezing or upgrading their seat. Procedure
for up gradation & freezing is same as given in first counseling.
2. Freezed candidates of first counseling: Already freezed during first counseling.
3. Fresh seat allotted candidates of second counseling: Such candidates have to
compulsorily visit allotted ITI for freezing or upgrading their seat. Procedure for up
gradation & freezing is same as given in first counseling.
4. Candidates who have not been allotted any seat: They would automatically participate in
next counseling.
Note: If after allotment of seat, candidate does not report to the allotted ITI then his/her seat
would be cancelled and he/she would be out of admission process.
CHOICE FILLING AFTER SECOND ROUND OF COUNSELLING
