RULES AND REGULATIONS
ELIGIBILITY
The tournament will be in compliance with NCAA rules and regulations and therefore is open to all NCAA
sanctioned colleges and universities whose team members are full-time students and are eligible under the
NCAA rules.
ENTRIES – LIMITED TO 16 TEAMS
$450.00 per team (made payable to Tulane University) to be sent with the entry form by
FRIDAY OCTOBER, 2nd 2015.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT
This tournament will comprise of a 3 day schedule and lane draws will be determined randomly in the coaches
meeting on the Friday morning. The entire tournament will be scratch and will be based on match wins and
losses. Teams will compete in six, 5 game Baker matches on the Friday followed by six traditional game
matches on the Saturday. The teams will then be seeded based on total pins for the bracket round on the
Sunday which will be three baker best 4 out of 7 games. The final positions will be determined after the
bracket results.
LANE COURTESY
A one lane courtesy will be observed throughout the duration of the tournament.
TIES
A modified baker game will be used to break any tie situations. The tie-breaker will take place immediately
following the match whether it be for traditional team games, quadruple baker game series or four of seven
baker game matches (after tied game).
ROSTER
Official rosters must be submitted before the start of the tournament. To be eligible to compete a minimum of
5 eligible bowlers is required. No additions will be allowed to be added to the roster once the tournament has
begun.
SUBSTITUTIONS
Are allowed during tournament play providing the bowler is listed on the roster and has not already
participated in that particular game. Once a bowler is removed from the game they are NOT allowed to
participate in the remainder of the game but must wait until the following game.
DRESS CODE
Teams must adhere to the NCAA dress code as described in the NCAA Handbook.
EQUIPMENT
There will be a locked meeting room for teams to leave their equipment in during the 3 days of competition.
To avoid excessive bowling balls on the racks and in the player’s area please have out only the balls that are
currently being used.
AWARDS
Will be given to the Championship team, Runner-up and Third place teams. Individual awards will consist of
MVP and an All-Tournament Team based on the 5 regular team games. The MVP will be the bowler with the
highest pinfall from the 5 regular team games. In order to be eligible for the individual awards a bowler needs
to compete in at least 4 out of the 5 regular team games.
CONDUCT
Each team is required to have a coach or team captain who will be responsible for the actions and behavior of
the team. Any team displaying inappropriate behavior as deemed by the tournament officials will be given one
warning. Fail to improve the behavior will result in the teams disqualification from the tournament.
All rules mentioned above and those not covered with be strictly enforced from the NCAA playing rules and
regulations manual. Any disputes will be handled by the Head Official who will make the final decision.
FOOD AND BEVERAGES
Please do not bring outside food and beverages into the bowling center. Tulane will provide suitable snacks
(e.g. fruit, granola bars etc.) for players and coaches that will be available in the ball room throughout the
three days.
BOWLING BALL PADOCK
A locked meeting room will be available to store bowling balls after the Thursday practice session through the
conclusion of the tournament on the Sunday.
