Considering the Path to the Deanship

Began as faculty member, moved into
administrative roles as opportunities
arose—Director of Teacher Education,
Department Chair, Founding Director of
School of Education, back to faculty role,
then to Deanship. Serendipity,
circumstance and following strengths all
seem to have played a part.

Faculty 13 years (two different universities)
before moving to new state college;
within four years went from faculty,
associate dean, interim dean, dean; 2011
returned to faculty by choice; goals to
return to a leadership position in a
COE/SOE at a state college within 2-3
years
