up for a free 30 day trail
• Complete your personal profile including
positions in scouting. You will become the
admin for your unit.
• Setup a subscription.
• Make connections.

There are a number of options
within your profile.
• Change your name, address, and
phone number
• Add positions and roles
• Add training directly from
ScoutNet using
• Setup, modify, and explore
subscriptions
Subscriptions
• Now that you have a basic profile setup you
will need a subscription.
• Subscriptions vary based on your needs.
• As Pack Admin, you will be creating a
subscription at the Pack Level. There is not a
need to purchase Den or Family plans as long
as everyone is connected in the Pack.

Take note of the number of scouts.
This trail has been open with 20
scouts and 4 are connected.

• Once the subscription is setup, your dashboard will be update
to include the Units you have access to view.
• If you do not see the Units you expected, check your positions
& roles.

CONNECTIONS
Unit
• From My Dashboard, click on the Unit you want to
view.

• In this case we are looking at the Troop.

• There are no scouts currently assigned to the Unit.
• You will need to add a Den or Patrol before adding
scouts manual into Scoutbook.
• Once the Den or Patrol is created you can begin to
add Adult Leaders and Scouts.

how permissions
are controlled for
each adult in the

• Not everyone
should have
access to
everything.
• Click Add to
setup another
adult with access
to this scout.

the adult
account and
allow access to
scouts with
connections.
Manage Connections
• Connections are very important.
• Drive security for each scout and
who has access to what
information
• Connections can be manage by the
Admin for the Unit in Scoutbook.

• What happens if I am not connected and try to view
a scout?

• I do not want to remove this Scout. They
would have to create a connection to me.
