Presentation overview:
• Thematic pole 6 projects
(CHESTNUT, CityWalk, eGUTS, Linking Danube, Transdanube.Pearls,
TRANSGREEN)
• Project Synergies
• Pole 6 capitalisation in practice
The common challenges are related to wider use of environmentallyfriendly and safe transport systems and modes in order to contribute
to more sustainable regional and local mobility.
COMPETITORS BECOME PARTNERS
Why-capitalisation?
 Overview on main projects’ results,
 Accessibility, impact and durability of knowledge,
 Integrating new knowledge and good practices into
Regional, National or European policy-making levels,
 Valorize and give visibility,
 Re-use and transfer of knowledge achieved.
Capitalisation Thematic Pole 6
Will be process through which an experience is identified,
valued and documented in various media. This systematic
process will allow learning of lessons and identification of
good practices. Thanks to this approach, the practice can
change and improve and may thereafter be adopted by others.
What we have to do for
building pole?
Why do good practices
matter?
For an organization to progress and adapt to change, it must become a learning organization which draws lessons
from experiences (own and other) in order to identify and understand good practices.
These good practices will improve the way the organization works.
They can be applied to specific contexts, institutionalized, shared and replicated at different levels: from local to
international.
However, if no action is taken to analyse, capitalize and share the knowledge gained in programmes and projects,
results will not be transmitted, the same mistakes will be repeated, the success of experiences will not be known
and opportunities for improved practices will be lost, thereby preventing the sharing of good practices.
An organization can turn knowledge into action through knowledge sharing and capitalization of experiences.

Strategic Action Plans
Project synergies
(stakeholders, data exchange, methodologies, outputs, policies, strategies, action plans, pilots, joint
promotion and dissemination)
EXAMPLE: synergies CHESNUT with other projects
CHESTNUT + LinkingDanube common points:
• FUA SUMP : better connected rural – urban PT and soft mobility modes + PT on demand –
better, more useful travel planner app
• Inclusion of CHESTNUT pilot cities to LD jurney planner
CHESTNUT + CityWalk common points:
• FUA SUMP : park&walk – emphasis on walking / cycling as a preferred last mile mode
• Pilot actions
CHESTNUT + eGUTS common point:
• FUA SUMP : Regional strategic platform (cooperation of regional key stakeholders in policy &
meassures formulation
• E-mobility, e-car sharing models – SUMP meassure
• Pilot actions
CHESTNUT + Transdanube.Pearls:
• Tourstic promotion of „CHESTNUT regions“
• Better cooperation of mobility operators on regional level
CHESTNUT + TRANSGREEN:
• FUA SUMP – people and environment friendly traffic infrastructure
• Improved policy formulation and stakeholders inclusion - adapting of
planed infrastructure projects
CHESTNUT + eGUTS common point:
• FUA SUMP : Regional strategic platform (cooperation of regional key
stakeholders in policy & measures formulation
• E-mobility, e-car sharing models – SUMP measure
