2016 Seaside Classic Nomination Form

Nominations are now being called for the Port Macquarie Basketball
Association’s annual Coast2Coast Seaside Classic Basketball
Tournament. The Coast2Coast Seaside Classic is an odd age tournament
that is open to all players and teams of all abilities. This year, team
numbers permitting, we may again run a Div 1/Div 2 format (if more than
8 teams in an age group).
Come to Port Macquarie for a weekend and enjoy the SURF, SUN, SAND
and BASKETBALL!

TOURNAMENT RULES
1. Unless otherwise stated the rules of play shall be those of Basketball
NSW.
2. Tournament organisers reserve the right to make decisions regarding any
matter not specifically covered in the rules and to make alterations should
conditions warrant.
3. TIMING
I. Games will be played in two (2) halves of twenty (20) minutes, with a
three (3) minute half time interval.
II. The clock will stop for all time outs and on each whistle in the last
minute of the game provided the score between the teams is ten (10)
points or less.
III. Each team is permitted one (1) time out per half.
4. FORFEITS
I. Teams will be able to take the court with four players
II. Teams who do not have the minimum number of players by ten
minutes after the scheduled starting time will forfeit that game. The
opposition team will be awarded two (2) points for every minute that a
team is late in starting a game.
5. POINTS ALLOCATION
I. Win – 3 pts, Draw 2 – pts, Loss 1- pt, Forfeit – 0pts.
II. Drawn games will be recorded as a draw in all round games.
III. If two (2) teams in a division finish on equal points, the winner of the
round game will receive the higher placing. If three (3) or more teams
in a division finish on equal points at the completion of the round then
the winner will be decided on a for and against rating between the
teams involved.
6. SCORE BENCH
I. All teams are required to provide a bench person for each game.
II. Games will not start until each team has provided a bench person.
7. ELIGIBILITY
I. No player is permitted to play in an age group lower than their
appropriate age level. Players may play in their correct age group or
higher and only for their own association.
II. Players must play in at least one (1) game to be eligible for finals.
