Wolves Notes

Zach LaVine is averaging 22.3 ppg in 29.3 mpg over the last four games, shooting 63.8% (37-for-58)
including a string of 19 consecutive made two-point field goals. He enters tonight’s game averaging
12.7 ppg (43.8%) overall.

Karl-Anthony Towns notched 21 points and 13 rebounds Sunday at Portland, registering his fourthstraight double-double. He’s been Minnesota’s top-scorer in four of the last six games (12 total).
Towns is averaging 23.2 ppg (64.8%), 12.5 rpg, 2.0 apg and 2.50 bpg in the last six games. He
needs 15 rebounds to reach the 500 mark.

Ricky Rubio notched 15 points, nine assists and four rebounds Sunday at Portland. He enters
tonight’s game ranked fifth in the league in assists (8.6 apg), third in steals (2.23 spg) and second in
assist-to-turnover ratio (3.79-to-1). The first time the two teams met on Oct. 28, Rubio put up a
career-high 28 points alongside 14 assists (his fifth-career 20+ point/10+ assist effort).

Gorgui Dieng notched 13 points and 10 rebounds against Portland on Sunday, marking his sixth
double-double of the season (33rd career). Starting the last three games, he’s averaging 18.0 ppg
(63.6%) and 11.3 rpg in 35.0 mpg.

Tayshaun Prince tied a career-high with three steals Sunday at Portland. He’s shooting 50.4% in 38
starts this season and needs four blocks to hit the 500 mark.

The Wolves rank first in the NBA in free throws made (21.0 per game) and fifth in free throw
percentage (79.1%). Three Wolves players rank in the Top 40 in FT%: Kevin Martin (10th, 88.6%),
Karl-Anthony Towns (27th, 85.2%), Gorgui Dieng (35th, 83.9%).
Lakers Notes

The Los Angeles Lakers hold a 9-41 record and are 5-18 at home. They’ve dropped their last 10
games with their most previous win coming on Jan. 12 vs. New Orleans.

Julius Randle leads the Lakers in rebounds, averaging 9.7 rpg. He has a team-high 18 doubledoubles this season and is currently first among second-year players in double-doubles. Randle is
also fourth in the league in defensive rebounding percentage (30.5%) and 12th in total rebounding
percentage (19.2 %).

Leading the Lakers in scoring this season, Kobe Bryant is averaging 15.9 ppg alongside a team-high
3.5 apg. Bryant passed Peja Stojakovic (1,760) for 12th place on the NBA’s all-time three-pointers
made list on Jan. 31 vs. Charlotte after hitting four triples (1,762).
