Dear Spectacular 4th Grade Students and Prized Parents,
Welcome to Mrs. Costello’s Fourth Grade Class! I hope you are all enjoying your
summer break and are ready for a fun and exciting school year. To tell you a little about
myself, my husband and I recently traveled to the Rivera Maya and love visiting new and
exciting places. In my free time, I enjoy playing the guitar, singing, and creating some sort
of creative art project! This will be my fifth year teaching fourth grade at EDUPRIZE.
This year will be jam packed with all kinds of exciting adventures in reading,
writing, math, and cottages. One of my favorite parts of fourth grade is our fantastic
cottages! This year our cottages will be all about our wonderful state of Arizona! Our
cottages will include: Reptile Ranch, Conservation Plantation, Arizona Highways, and Grand
Canyon Marketplace. Alongside the curriculum, we will incorporate character development
into everything we do to promote self-esteem and lifelong learning.
Open House is Monday, July 24th from 11:30 a.m.-12:15 p.m. I will be eagerly
waiting to meet you! I will be in the classroom all day if you need to stop in other than the
scheduled time. At Open House you can expect to see our classroom, meet your classmates,
pick up and sign important papers, get carpool information, and visit with me.
 Please
bring your supplies to the Open House, using the suggested list as you shop for your back to
school items. Please bring twelve dollars cash or check made to EDUPRIZE PTN for the
purchase of homework planners and Scholastic News.
Our first day of school is Wednesday, July 26th. Please make sure your child is on
time and present on the first day to be considered a student at EDUPRIZE. Information
about the first day of school will be available at Open House, including the location of
where we line up in the morning.
I will pick up the class at the start of the day. Our class is Traditional Day, and
our school day will begin at 8:00 a.m., Monday-Friday. Dismissal will be at 3:00 p.m.
Monday-Thursday and at 11:45 a.m. on Fridays. On the first day of school, I will meet
you and bring you into the classroom. Please be in line no later than 7:55 a.m.
My goal is to create a class family that cares, shares, respects, and grows together!
