The Braves Wrestling team is staying busy
this summer. Josiah Seaton and Austin Cobb attended the Fort Hays
State University technique camp. Jonathan Blackwell and Mark
Hobson competed in Oklahoma City, OK at the extremely tough Junior
National Dual Tournament. They represented Team Kansas very

Three Braves wrestlers competed at the always tough
Southern Plains Regional freestyle and greco roman tournament held in Hays,
KS. Austin Cobb, Aaron Puckett, and Josiah Seaton represented Team Kansas
and Bonner Springs well. Aaron Puckett placed 4th in greco roman and
Josiah Seaton placed 4th in freestyle. This is a very tough tournament with
athletes participating from most of the states in the midwest. Brackets are

Freestyle and Greco Roman practices begin Tuesday, April
5th at 6PM. They will run every Tuesday and Thursday

Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. They fell short of placing, but had some quality

Caleb Seaton defeated Blake Peek of Odessa High School 6-3 at the
2011 Metro Classic held at Kansas City Kansas Community
College. Caleb was one of five Kansas wrestlers to win, as Missouri
won the dual 41-19.

Caleb Seaton - 4-1 on the day. Had 2 pins and 2 decisions on the day. He
lost to the #1 ranked wrestler in all classes in an back and forth battle. He is
currently ranked #2 in class 4A.
Jonathan Blackwell - 4-1 on the day. He had 3 pins and one decision. He
dominated Forrest Carroll of Turner 7-2, avenging 4 losses from last
season. He lost a close decision to the #1 ranked wrestler in 4A, a 2X State
Champion. He is currently ranked #3 in class 4A.
