Cullen Play Centre, Cullen
Particular strengths of the centre:
Children who are very motivated, engaged and enjoy their play centre experience.
Strong leadership and teamwork of staff which leads to welcoming, caring ethos,
and very positive relationships, all supporting children’s learning.
Transformation of the outdoor area enabling very good use of outdoor learning to
enhance children’s learning experiences.
Partnership with parents, the nursery, school and the local community.
Areas for improvement:
Develop monitoring and self- evaluation further involving staff, children, parents
and the committee, with a focus on impact for children.
Extend use of assessment information and development of children’s folders to
further enhance children’s learning and achievements.
Continue to review and develop the curriculum and provide increased
opportunities for early literacy and numeracy.
