RULES AND REGULATIONS
Steam Whistle’s “Celebrate Canada Contest”
1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THIS CONTEST​. A
purchase will not improve your chances of winning. The chances of winning depend on
the total number of eligible entries received. Visit ​www.steamwhistle.ca between
12:01am (EST) Tuesday, May 23​rd -12:00:01 pm (EST) and Saturday, July 1​st​, 2017 –
11:59:59 (EST) to fill out your online electronic ballot for entry. Limit one (1) entry per
person.
2. HOW TO PLAY. ​To participate, legibly complete the ballot by July 1​st​, 2017. By
entering the contest, all participants agree to abide by the contest rules and decisions of
the Contest Sponsor, which are final. All contestants must have completed the ballot
including sharing a description of “​What I love about Canada”. The ballot must also
include their name, age, and all contact information, and entrants must have otherwise
complied with these rules and regulations to be declared a winner.
3. WINNER SELECTION/DRAWS. ​On July 3​rd​, 2017, a random draw will be
conducted from all eligible entries received from May 23​rd​, 2017 to July 1​st​, 2017. ​The
selected entrant will be contacted by phone and/or email within two (2) business days of
the draw. If a selected entrant is unable to be contacted after three (3) attempts, he/she
forfeits the prize and another entrant may, at the sole discretion of Steam Whistle
Brewing (the “Contest Sponsor”), be selected. Hudson’s Bay Company (“HBC”) is a
prize supplier only of an Hudson’s Bay gift card, and is not a Sponsor of the Contest, nor
responsible for its administration or operation. JOEY Restaurants (“JOEY”) is a prize
supplier only of a JOEY gift card, and is not a Sponsor of the Contest, nor responsible for
its administration or operation.
Before a prize is awarded, the winner may be required to sign one or more declarations,
publicity consent, a waiver and release, and must correctly answer a mathematical
skill-testing question in order to be declared a winner. The Contest Sponsor, affiliates and
subsidiaries, HBC and its related entities, JOEY and its related entities, and their
respective directors, officers, employees and agents are exempt from all liability of any
kind, including without limitation any loss, damage, injury (including personal injury) or
expense, in connection with this contest or occurring as a result of the prize being
awarded. By participating in this contest, all participants declare that they have read,
understood and complied with the contest rules, consent to the use of their name and
information for the purpose of advertising or promotion without further compensation
and agree to abide by all decisions by the Contest Sponsor. The Contest Sponsor is not
responsible for errors in the offer or administration of this contest, including but not
limited to errors in advertising, the contest rules, the selection and announcement of the
winner or the distribution of any prize. The odds of winning depend on the number of
eligible entries received.
4. PRIZE​. A total of one (1) prize, available to be won across all entries. The Prize
consists of: one (1) complete set of the co-branded barware collection [consisting of a
retro-inspired cooler, a set of 4 crystal beer glasses, a set of 25 paperboard coasters, a
bottle opener in a commemorative tin, and a retro magnet bottle opener ]; a $1000
Hudson’s Bay gift card; and a $500 JOEY gift card. Total prize value of $1767. The prize
must be accepted as awarded. Prize is non-transferrable and non-redeemable for cash. No
substitutions, except by the Contest Sponsor, who reserves the right to substitute a prize
of equal or greater value. This contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, and
municipal laws. The Contest Sponsor reserves the right to modify or terminate this
contest at any time without notice to participants. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
By entering the Contest and voluntarily providing personal information including, but not
limited to, name, age, address, city, email address, telephone numbers (the “Registrant
Information”), each Contest entrant grants permission to Steam Whistle Brewing, the
Contest Sponsor, to the collection and use of the Registrant Information for the exclusive
purpose of administering the Contest and selecting the Prize winner(s). Sponsor may
disclose the Prize winner(s) Registrant Information to HBC and JOEY for the purpose of
awarding and administering the prizing. No correspondence will take place between
Steam Whistle Brewing, the Contest Sponsor, and the entrants except in connection with
the Contest.
5. ELIGIBILITY​.CONTEST IS OPEN TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF CANADA
EXCLUDING QUEBEC; WHO HAVE REACHED THE AGE OF 19 ON THE DATE
OF THEIR ENTRY; and who is not an employee, contractor, agent or representative of
the “Contest Sponsor” or “Prize Providers”, its affiliates, agencies or distribution
companies. All ballots become the property of the Contest Sponsor and none shall be
returned. The Contest Sponsor is not responsible for the lost or late ballots that have been
tampered with or are ineligible. All decisions of the Contest Sponsor shall be final.
The contest shall be subject to these Official Rules and Regulations. By entering the
contest, all participants agree to abide by the contest rules and decisions of the Contest
Sponsor which are final.
