Activities:
1. Greet students and review procedures for this lesson.
2. Show Lesson Agenda via Power Point. The remainder of this lesson is also on power

administer the pre test during morning work before your scheduled lesson and they
can also give the posttest).
4. Ask the essential questions above and discuss answers.
5. Distribute copies of Career Bingo picture page and Career Bingo Game Card to each
student. Read each career name aloud. Ask students to look at the pictures and
decide if any of them might be “clustered or grouped together”. Take answers and
rationale.
6. Using the internet, explore 3-4 careers with the class. I also post these web sites on
our Counselor blog so that students can access them at another time.

that all cards are different.

9. Use an extra copy of the Career Bingo Pictures page to call out careers during the
bingo game. Play the game as time allows.
10. Distribute Career Post Test (or ask the teachers to give it after your visit).
11. Evaluation/Assessment: Students will create Career Bingo cards; Students will
complete Career pre/posttests:
Total A = # of correct pretest answers/# of students
Total B = # of correct posttest answers/# of students
% Improvement = B-A/A
Example: Total A: 20 students get 100 correct on the pretest (100/20 = 5)
Total B: same 20 students get 180 correct on the posttest (180/20 =9)
