JUNIOR TRAVEL TEAM (Coached by Dave Pietrangelo)
Regular team practice for the GOCC Junior Travel Team begins on Tuesday, June 20th. All junior
players 18 & under before June 1st are welcome to join the team as long as the player knows how to
keep score and play matches. All players will be ranked on a ladder within their gender and age
group. Players wishing to improve their rankings will be required to play matches on the team
challenge board. These matches will be scheduled by the players and any “issues” will be handled by
the professional staff. The final deadline for challenge matches will be noon on Wednesday, July
19th. Each player will be chitted $150 to participate on the “A” or “B” teams. This fee includes a
team picture, team practices, matches and a team shirt for those team members who register by June
1st. No shirts will be ordered after that date. Players interested in playing can email Dave at
[email protected]. Please give your name, date of birth and shirt size. Boy’s sizes
are youth L to adult XL and girl’s sizes are youth L to Adult XL.

The top four girls and boys in each age group will be eligible to play in the”A” Team Matches.
Everyone else will play in the “B” match. This could change weekly depending on player
availability. Each week we will ask you for your child’s availability for matches and tournaments.
Dave will communicate which matches your child will participate in.

JUNIOR TENNIS LESSONS
Junior Tennis Classes will be offered every Monday & Wednesday beginning June 19th
and ending August 16th. In order to give players the flexibility to work with schedule
conflicts, players will only be charged for the days that they attend class. Students may
sign up for any of the days on a first come, first serve basis. Class size may be limited so
please sign up in advance. Please see Tom or Dave at the tennis office to let them know
the class and the dates that your child will be attending. There will be no classes on
Monday, July 24th due to GOCC hosting the “B” Championships.
Classes meet on Monday & Wednesday of each week. In case of rain classes will be
cancelled.

TENNIS DRESS CODE
Only proper tennis attire may be worn on the tennis courts. Denim clothing, swimsuits,
black soled shoes, sandals and bare feet are not acceptable.
RACKET REPAIR
Racket stringing and grip repairs are available. All work can be arranged with Tom.
