Miriah Stone ‘13
Coach Stone is entering her 3rd season with the
Blazers as the assistant field hockey coach.
She is a 2013 graduate of Hood College, where she
earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biology. While at
Hood, she was a 4 year starter for the Blazer Field
Hockey team in both midfield and defensive roles.
Starting in 62 of her 63 games played for the Blazers,
she totaled 6 goals and 6 assists. She is a two-time
Chi Alpha Sigma Athlete Honor Society inductee and
a 2013 recipient of Hood’s Kim Servedio Award for
embodying sincerity, selflessness and optimism.
Ying Van Schaik ’14
Coach Ying is entering her 2nd season with the
Blazers as the goalie coach. She is a 2014 graduate of
Hood College, where she majored in both law and
society and communications. Playing in 34 games for
the Blazers, she had a career save percentage of .713.

Coach Buhrman is a 2014 graduate of Hood
College, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree
in Sociology. While attending Hood, she was a 4
year defensive starter for the Blazer field hockey
team. She finished her career with 8 goals, 5
assists and 29 defensive saves. During the 2011
season, she was named to the All-Capital
Athletic Conference 2nd team.

Location: Thomas Athletic Field, Hood College
Equipment Needed: Campers are to supply their
own gear. This includes; turf or running shoes
(no standard cleats), a mouth guard, shin guards,
goggles, goalie gear and a field hockey stick.
