Main job role:
 To develop and lead the implementation of an effective Corporate Partnerships
strategy in line with the Cystic Fibrosis Trust’s overall objectives and plans to support
and increase our impact for people with cystic fibrosis.
 To lead on key high level corporate and individual relationships and secure significant
income.
 To lead, direct and manage the Corporate Partnerships team in the implementation of
the strategy and maximise net income and return on investment.
 To utilise Corporate Partnerships to maximise the awareness, reach and profile of the
Trust through engaging corporate partner external and internal audiences.
Key deliverables:
 Maximise potential and growth of sustainable income from the Corporate
Partnerships team over the next three-five years, and in particular multi-year
partnerships.
 Lead, manage and motivate the Corporate Partnerships team to maximise income
and utilise our stakeholders, networks and senior volunteers where applicable.
 Lead on key current and new partnerships for the Trust and gain significant income
individually (six figures and above).
Main tasks and responsibilities:
Strategy, planning and reporting:
 To lead, develop and implement an effective Corporate fundraising strategy to grow
and maximise net income in line with the Trust’s overall objectives and plans.
 To develop annual plans and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the Corporate
team and to monitor, analyse success and assess the effectiveness of fundraising
activity, facilitating a revision of plans when necessary.
 To develop and implement an effective new business strategy to gain new multi-year
partnerships and grow income over time.
 To manage the agreed income and expenditure budgets for Corporate Partnerships,
ensuring cost effectiveness and controlling expenditure within budget.
 To produce monthly financial, and KPI reports, quarterly reforecast and activity
reports for the Director of Fundraising and Trustees as required.


To work closely with the other Heads of Departments and the Director of Fundraising
in developing and implementing the overall Fundraising Strategies, annual plans,
budgets and key performance indicators.
To define risks and develop mitigating actions.
Leading and maximising partnerships:
 To lead, develop and maximise both current and new high level relationships with the
corporate sector and secure significant income towards the Corporate Partnerships
team targets and in particular multi-year funding (six figure and above).
 To lead the team in researching, identifying and maximising the potential of new
corporate prospects in line with the new business strategy and using the information
held within the supporter database as well as external data.
 To support in the development of key strategic partnerships for the Trust to deliver
our aims and objectives for people with cystic fibrosis.
 To utilise our stakeholders and Trustees to open networks and support cultivation
plan and ensure that peer to peer approaches are maximised.
 To develop presentations and materials to engage a corporate audience and
innovative ideas for employee fundraising and volunteering.
 To ensure all corporate relationships are provided with exceptional stewardship and
account plans are developed, maintained and implemented, including quality
reporting of the funding provided and impact achieved.
 To develop and manage events specific to engage a Corporate audience.
Team management:
 To lead, manage, motivate and develop the Corporate Partnerships team, setting
objectives, development plans and ensuring overall strategy, annual plans and
targets are achieved.
 To oversee staff recruitment within the team as necessary.
 To maintain an external focus and supporter led best practice within the team,
ensuring accurate and timely recording of supporter information on the database.
 To promote effective cross team collaboration within fundraising department and
across the Trust to both build effective working relationships and enable efficient use
of resources.
 To work closely with the Head of Philanthropy on overall plans, delivery and effective
sharing of information between the two teams.
 To lead the team to support the Community team to maximise opportunities from
regional corporate partnerships and to provide support to national partnerships.
 To encourage innovation and sharing of ideas across both Corporate Partnerships
and Philanthropy teams.
Fundraising compliance, regulation and best practice
 To ensure that the team is compliant with all legal and regulatory requirements, keeps
up to date with any changes and operates in line with the codes of practice, sector
best practice and industry standards.
 To provide regular updates to the Director of Fundraising and Trustees on fundraising
compliance.
 To review and update any Trust policies relating to Corporate Fundraising and our
supporters.
 To keep abreast of any developments, trends and best practice within the sector and
network with peers in the same field.
Member of the Senior Management teams (Fundraising department and Trust):
 To be an active member of the senior fundraising management team and lead on
projects for the Fundraising department as required.
 To attend and support events/meetings and represent the Trust to external
audiences.
 To be a member of the senior management team for the Trust and lead or participate
in cross-organisational projects and activities as and when appropriate.
 To build relationships and present to Trustees, as required.

To uphold and develop the Trust’s brand, awareness, reputation and profile through
the Corporate team activities.
Other:
 To keep up to date with the latest developments and activities within cystic fibrosis
and the Trust to be able to communicate and engage our supporters and donors.
 To carry out any other duties and tasks as may be reasonably required by the
Director of Fundraising.
