2016 SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM RULES AND REGULATIONS DESJARDINS CAISSES POPULAIRES IN ONTARIO PARTICIPATING CAISSES: Alfred, Nouvel-Horizon, Rideau-Vision d’Ottawa and Trillium ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA • To participate, you must: - Be a full-time student and not leave your studies during the current session. - Be a member of a participating caisse populaire (Alfred, Nouvel-Horizon, Rideau-Vision d’Ottawa or Trillium) as of March 14, 2016. - Be aged between 15 and 30 as of March 18, 2016. - Fill out the application form and correctly answer the mandatory question. • Children of directors and employees of participating caisses populaires are eligible provided they meet the eligibility criteria. • Regular employees and directors are not eligible for the scholarships. • Students cannot submit more than one application form at the same caisse populaire. • A student who is a member of more than one participating caisse populaire may submit an application form at each caisse. However, a student cannot win more than one (1) scholarship per year (e.g. a student cannot win one (1) scholarship from the Caisse populaire Nouvel-Horizon and one (1) scholarship from the Caisse populaire Trillium). SCHOLARSHIPS ANNOUNCEMENT • Application forms submitted online, on site at the Caisse or by fax must be received no later than Friday, March 18, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. Find participating Desjardins caisses populaires in Ontario at: www.desjardins.com/en/votre_caisse. • Scholarships will be awarded randomly among applicants who meet the eligibility criteria. • The amount of scholarships awarded will be determined by your level of study at the time you apply ($250 for high school, $500 for college and $1,000 for university). • The draw will take place during the week of March 21, 2016. • To be awarded a scholarship drawn in their name, applicants, or their representatives, must submit proof of current attendance of an educational institution. • Winners (or their representatives) commit themselves to come and receive their scholarship at their caisse’s Annual General Meeting. Each caisse will provide its winners with all required information. Then you are doing business with a company that belongs to you. The main features that differentiate your caisse populaire from another financial institution are these exclusive advantages: • You are a co-owner of the financial institution along with the other members. • You have the right to participate in the orientations of the Caisse and the election of the Board of Directors (from age 16). • You can submit proposals at the Annual General Meeting and even submit your application to become a member of the Board of Directors - Young Intern Officer program (ages 18-30). • You can be proud to deliver positive results in the community, thanks to the Caisse’s commitment through sponsorships and donations.
