Match and collect tasty cupcakes in this fun-filled game, but remember to say
“please” and “thank you” when other players offer to share their cupcakes with you!

• 4 plate boards • 40 cupcake cards • 1 recipe board
Setting up the game
Spread one of each cupcake card face up on the table.
Each player chooses a
plate board.
Shuffle the rest of the cupcake
cards and place them face
down in a pile on the table.

Look at the table
If the cupcake matches one of the cupcakes on
the table, pick up the matching card and place the
pair face up on your plate.
The youngest player starts.
Take a card from the top of
the pile.

Please and thank you!
If the card does
not match one
of the face up
cupcake cards
on the table or
the top card on
your pile, check
to see if the card
matches one of
the top cards on
another player’s
plate board.
If it does, ask that player ‘Would you like
my cupcake?” The other player should be
encouraged to reply “yes please” and say
“thank you” as they take the cupcake card
to add to their board.

Take a card from the
pile and look for a match:
- On the table
- On your plate
- On another player’s plate.
No matches
If you pick up a
cupcake card which
does not match any of
the cards (on the table
or on top of another
players pile), place it
face up with the other
cards on the table.
Play passes to the
next player.
The winner is
the player with the most
cupcake cards on their plate!
Look at your plate
If the cupcake matches the top
cupcake on your plate, add the
card to your plate.
If the cupcake matches a
cupcake on the table and
your plate, add both cards
to the pile on your plate.

Spread ten
different cupcake
cards face up on the
table. Make a pile
with the rest.
Don’t forget to
say “please” and
“thank you”!
To help younger players find the different
cards, the ten different cupcake cards are
shown on the reverse of the recipe board.
