ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS FOR 2J102 RUGBY GOAL
1. Unpack all parts and check for damage that may have occurred during shipping. If damage has occurred,
notify trucking company immediately. Lay out all parts. Remove all cardboard and packaging immediately.
Wet or damp packaging may damage contents.
2. Read through entire instruction before beginning assembly and installation.
3. This equipment should be installed by a minimum of three experienced installers.
4. WARNING: Do not attempt to assemble or disassemble rail and/or uprights in winds greater than 5MPH.

8. Set assembled goal posts with ground sleeves into holes. Plumb and level goal making sure the bottom
of the rail is 9’-10” (3m) high from the field surface. Face of the goal post should not enter into the playing
field. Seal space between posts and ground sleeves with tape or small bead of sealer. This will stop debris
from entering ground sleeves during construction.

9. Fill holes with concrete, flush to the top of ground sleeves. Be sure to plumb and level posts before
concrete begins to cure. After concrete has fully cured replace field surface over cured concrete and dispose
of excess soil.

10. After concrete has cured remove goal and attach uprights to goal. NOTE: countersunk holes in
uprights indicate front face of uprights. (This side must face playing field.)

11. When removing goal from field after initial installation, the rail can be removed before removing goal posts
from ground sleeves. Do this by removing the two 1/2" flat head screws and then sliding rail to one side. Be
sure to cover open ground sleeves with caps to stop debris from entering hole after removing goal posts.
12. After reinstallation be sure to re-seal seam between ground sleeve and goal posts to stop debris from
entering ground sleeves.
