How Do I Know The Status Of My Job Submission
INSTRUCTIONS TO SEE JOB SUBMISSION STATUS:
• Log into COS – http://cos.gecareers.com
• Click on Job Submission Status

How to Edit or Delete EMS’s/Cover Letters in Profile
PLEASE NOTE: You can only have 5 EMS’s or 5 Cover Letters stored in your
profile at any given time. If you update your EMS and/or Cover letter in
your profile, it will NOT update or change the EMS or Cover Letter you
recently submitted to an application.
INSTRUCTIONS TO ADD:
• Log into COS – http://cos.gecareers.com
• Click on EMS Manager
• Click the “Add new EMS” or “Add New Cover Letter” button
INSTRUCTIONS TO DELETE:
• Log into COS – http://cos.gecareers.com
• Click on EMS Manager
• Click the “trashcan” in the Delete column

How to create/delete a Job Search Agent
INSTRUCTIONS TO CREATE A SEARCH AGENT:
• Log into COS – http://cos.gecareers.com
• Click on Search Agent Manager
• Click on “Create New Search Agent”
• Give your search agent a name
• Select the email frequency
• Select your search parameters
• Click Save
INSTRUCTIONS TO DELETE A SEARCH AGENT:
• Log into COS – http://cos.gecareers.com
• Click on Search Agent Manager
• Select the Search Agent you wish to delete
• Click on “Delete Selected Search Agent”
• Click Save
TIP: When using the CTRL (Control) key to make multiple parameter
selections, be sure to deselect the defaulted “ALL” parameter in that field.

your previously submitted applications. The updates will only be reflected
in any future application submissions.

INSTRUCTIONS TO SEE JOB SUBMISSION STATUS FOR REFERRALS:
• Log into the Referral Gateway – http://referral.gecareers.com
• Click on Job Submission Status
Due to GE’s data privacy guidelines, we are not allowed to display
the status of referral submissions to the Job Seekers. Referrals will
be contacted directly if there is interest.

How do I submit a Referral
INSTRUCTIONS TO REFER:
• Log into the Referral Gateway – http://referral.gecareers.com
• Search for a job
• Follow the screen instructions to upload the resume/cv
PLEASE NOTE: When you submit a referral, you will not get a confirmation
email, but your referrer will get an email to complete the process by
answering specific questions. The resume/CV will NOT be entered into the
system until the referrer completes their responses.

What if Job Seeker does not receive the email to
complete the submission process
• Have the job seeker check their inbox “spam” folder
• If the email is not in the “spam” folder, resubmit the resume/CV, verifying
the job seeker’s email address was entered correctly when the
resume/CV was submitted

What if Job Seeker cannot open the link in the email
to answer the questions
• The resume/CV should be resubmitted to generate a new email sent to
the job seeker
• Make sure pop-up blockers are removed from the job seeker’s browser
• Have the job seeker empty their browser’s cache (temporary and history
files)
• Have the job seeker try another computer

How do I reset my Password
PLEASE NOTE: You can only reset your password if you have a current
agency manager account. If you do not have your own account, you may
share an ID/Password with others in your firm, providing they are willing to
share their password with you. Please be aware that if you change a
shared password, you need to notify all shared users of the new password.
INSTRUCTIONS TO RESET YOUR PASSWORD:
• Log into Agency Manager https://agency.brassring.com/agency/login.aspx?partnerid=54&siteid=5

• Enter your email address
• Leave password field blank
• Click on Forgot Password button
• Instructions to reset your password will be sent to you by email

• Log into GE Careers – http://www.gecareers.com
• Click on Job Submission Status
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
Based on the volume of resumes received, please be aware in some cases your
resume may not be reviewed for that particular opening and will continue to show
this status until the job req is closed or it may take some time before your status is
updated and we ask for your patience.
While recruiters are encouraged to communicate with all job seekers as to the
reasons why you were not considered, unfortunately, due to the high volume of
resumes received, it is not always possible.
