I am registered with Marshwood Youth Baseball and will play at least half of the regular season. If I am selected to
an all-star team, I understand that I must be available for practices beginning in May (practice is up to discretion of
all-star coaches). Games could start June 1st and go through the end of July, including the July 4th Holiday
weekend. While my all-star team may not advance through Districts to State or Regional tournaments, I agree not
to schedule vacation, summer camps or other activities that will interfere with my ability to attend practices and
games during all-stars, unless previously approved by the division all-star manager.
If you cannot make the full all-star commitment, then please list all dates which you are not available below.
Please note, that this form is only an eligibility notice, so the selected all-star coach, from each division,
may evaluate your child during the regular season and/or All Star tryouts.

Parents Commitment
It is important that parents of players realize there are several commitments that are necessary to play on either an
all-star or tournament team. This commitment includes both time and money.
Time
Practice is usually a daily event for all-star teams. Tournaments can be during the week or weekends and players
and parents need to make the commitment to attend all of the tournaments. Tournaments may require Travel, of
upwards of 2 hours by car, and advancing beyond districts could require staying in a hotel.
*If MYB is Hosting a Tournament, Parents will be required to volunteer to help run concessions, score
booth, announcements, field maintenance and other Tournament assistance needed, for the ENTIRE
Tournament.
Money
The players on each team pay for post-season tournament play. This year’s fee will be $125.00 and will cover
uniforms, 2 tournaments, insurance, and equipment. Should your manager elect to do a 4th or more tourneys,
these fees will be in addition to the $125.00 fee-- it will simply be the tourney fee divided by the number of players.
There may, or may not, be a fundraising event required for your team that requires mandatory participation (This
will be determined by the All Star Manager). MYB will cover Tourney fees for District and State Tourney.
Each child will receive a uniform shirt and hat to keep.
I, the parent/guardian of the above named all-star team candidate hereby give approval for my child to participate
in all tournament activities and agree to make my child available for all activities throughout the District tournament
and all subsequent tournaments for which the all-star team qualifies. I also agree to make available my child's
original birth certificate for age verification purposes. If I am unable to produce required age verification
documents, I understand that my child may not be included on the team roster. I understand that while the chances
of the all-star team advancing through District, State and Regional levels are not guaranteed, I agree to not
schedule vacation or other activities that will interfere with my child's ability to attend practices and games during
the tournament period (unless previously approved by the division all-star manager.) If my child becomes
unavailable for any reason, other than short-term illness, I understand that his/her position on the team roster may
be forfeited. This is open to the discretion of the all-star manager and/or Marshwood Youth Baseball Board of
Directors.
There may, or may not, be an actual tryout event for the All-star team (This will be determined by the All Star
Manager). All Star managers will attend regular season games to evaluate all-star candidates. All-star managers
may also seek input from house league managers. Final roster of players that will be selected for the all-star teams
will be made solely by the all-star manager and/or committee. Any questions about all-star team selection should
be directed to the all-star manager.
