First Team
First Team win promotion in their first season
The target set in this inaugural season for
Balham FC, the new open aged first team
of Balham Blazers FC, formed to provide
player progression from under eight to
adult football, was promotion from Junior
Division One of the Surrey South Eastern
Combination. Despite having a very young
team, average age, eighteen, the target
was achieved. This talented squad, most of
whom have come through the age group
system at BBFC and are, as a result, steeped
in the total football playing ethos of the
club, produced some scintillating football
