Here is a figure, which I call Figure 1. To reference the figure, use “cross-reference” and choose “only
label and number”. Note that the figure text below the figure is its own cell style called “caption.”

This equation is very important. I put all equations into mini tables that look like this. In the right little
box, I put a space (important), and then I make the style “Equation Number”. Note the space after the (1).
I do not use MS word equation editor: at one point, there was a serious flaw when you used that equation
editor and also tracked changes. Instead, I use MathType for all equations.


