Positioning your new law firm as a successful business
About this seminar
The seminar will assist a start-up attorney to

 formulate a winning marketing strategy to make a practice competitive and sustainable.
With the insight gained from his previous role as a practising attorney and current role as an in-house

Presenter
Moroke Phajane served his articles at Deon C. Weber Incorporated, Parktown
Johannesburg and was admitted as an attorney in 2006. He worked as an associate
at Deon Weber Incorporated from 2006 and joined Bell Dewar (now called Fasken
Martineau, Johannesburg) as an associate in 2009. In 2009, Moroke joined
Thomson Wilks Attorneys), Johannesburg as an attorney practising for his own
account. While at Thomson Wilks, Moroke identified an opportunity for the firm to
expand to other provinces and opened a branch in Mafikeng, North West province.
In 2013, Moroke’s entrepreneurial and innovative approach to practising law
secured him a position as an in-house Legal Consultant at Liberty Group Limited in
Johannesburg. A position he still occupies to date.
Moroke has experienced first-hand the challenges faced by young attorneys starting their own practices.
His current employment also enables him to provide insights on a wide range of issues affecting startup law firms and how such law firms can position themselves to take advantage of opportunities
presented by large corporate entities.
