March 2015
Events for this month
We’ve got a very busy month ahead of us; we will be celebrating World Book Day (5th), Red Nose
Day (13th), Mothers Day (15th), St.Patricks Day (17th) and taking part in the Giant Wiggle (19th)
for the second year running!
World book day was mentioned in the February newsletter – we would like the children to come in
dressed as their favourite story book character! Each child will receive a book voucher on the
day too! *Posters are displayed around the nursery for more information. We will be extending
the celebrations to Friday 6th.

Your Child’s drawer
Please ensure that you are checking your child’s drawer regularly, they are usually full of art
work, however, we do use them to send important messages home and will often put your invoice
in there.
Entering the
Building
The doorbell is for Visitors
ONLY and therefore should
NOT be rung by Children. This
has been happening a lot lately
and means that our staff are
out of ratio for long periods of
time.
We apologise to any Parents
who are still waiting to have
their fingerprints registered on
the system; there was a
technical problem with our
computers which has now been
sorted (We hope!)
Stay & Play
Last month we asked you if you or any member of your
family would like to come and play at nursery, many of
you have taken us up on the offer and the feedback has
been great!
If you would like to come in for a play or would like to do
anything in particular, for example; read a story, lead a
group game or get messy in the art room, let us know and
we can arrange a time that suits!
Our Inspection
As some of you may already be aware, Ofsted came in to
inspect us on 20th February – The feedback was
wonderful and the report will be sent to us within 10-15
days! Eek!
Parents Evening
This year, we have chosen to do things a little differently in order to get you more involved
with what we do. We had the ‘Christmas Craft Evening’ which was a great success and a
fabulous way for you to see what we’ve all been up to whilst also having a glass of mulled wine!
In the summer, we will be holding a ‘Summer Bbq’ – much the same as the Craft evening but in
the garden with lots of yummy food and sunshine (fingers crossed!)
Alongside these two informal gatherings, we will be holding an ‘appointment only’ parents
evening. This will be a chance for you to sit down with your child’s key person and discuss any
current issues/needs.
We will be holding this on – Thursday 14th May 6pm to 7:30pm. Each appointment will be 15
minutes long. The weeks leading up to this, we will display appointment times for you to choose
from. If you are unable to get an appointment with your child’s key person, please feel free to
book in to meet with them at another time.
