Reminders from the Library:
No more book checkout. Please do not send students to the library unless it is to return/pay for books.
8th graders - Library books were due Friday, May 19th. Please look in your lockers and return/pay for ALL books.
6th and 7th graders - ALL Library books are due Wednesday, May 24. Please find your books and be prepared
for Wednesday.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION for EVERYONE going on the trip to sing the National Anthem for the Chicago Sky at
Allstate Arena: In order to walk onto the floor of a professional basketball game, you MUST turn in a signed release
form. If you haven't turned yours in yet, turn it in by tomorrow at the latest. If you haven't picked one up yet, pick it
up outside of the choir room today.
We will have a short rehearsal tomorrow after school from 2:30-2:50. This is our final rehearsal before game day.
Our final CHAMPS Reward Day is here!
Who: TAP teachers and their students who have earned the Reward (and have redeemed their CHAMPS tickets to
participate)
What: Outdoor walk during TAP time
When: Friday, May 26th
How: Students need to cash in 4 CHAMPS tickets to earn the opportunity to walk outside
During your TAP time on Friday, May 26th, enjoy a leisurely walk with other students who have cashed in
their CHAMP tickets. This is the last chance to cash in those tickets! Turn in those tickets so you can get outside
during TAP!
Mr. Francis and Mr. Wood will be selling tickets for the 8th grade dance starting tomorrow morning. Please have a
current ID. The cost is $5 and tickets will be sold until the morning of the dance, May 25th.
8th Graders: Are you ready for the end of the year dance? If you come to the dance you will get to enjoy music
from a DJ, a photo booth, free pizza, and a chance to win prizes! Student Council will begin selling tickets
on Thursday, May 18th. The dance will be on Thursday May 25th from 5:30-7:30, tickets are $5, and the theme is
Under the Sea. You must have your current ID in order to purchase a ticket. Mr. Wood and Mr. Francis will sell
tickets in the 8th grade hallways in the morning. Tickets will not be sold at the door, so make sure you purchase
your tickets early!
ATTENTION HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL CAST AND CREW!
THE CAST PARTY WILL TAKE PLACE ON FRIDAY, MAY 26TH FROM 2:30-4:00.
BRING $2 FOR FOOD AND DRINKS!
WEAR YOUR SHOW SHIRT TO SCHOOL ON 5/26 TO CELEBRATE!!
Extra Yearbooks: We have a few yearbooks left to sell. If you did not already order one, bring $20 to the office and
we will add your name to the list of orders. This is first-come first-served, so we will only accept orders until we run
out. Yearbooks will be distributed at the end of the year.
Attention All Students: Moving next school year? If you are moving out of district #33 or district #94, please let the
office know as soon as possible so we can prepare files to send to the correct receiving school this summer.

SPORTS:
Any 8th grade boys that are interested in playing soccer at the HS in the fall are encouraged to attend a meeting
on Wednesday, May 24th from 2:30-2:50. We will meet in room 2075, which is in the 3-D Art hallway. In this
meeting we will share information about summer camp, summer league, and High School tryouts. See Mr. Villa if
you have any questions.
Attention girls’ soccer team. Our game vs the HS scheduled for Monday it has been changed to Tuesday May 23rd
at 5:00pm.
We will have practice Monday at the HS stadium. We will walk from school to the HS together.
Let coach Tamayo if you won't be able to make it to practice.
Next Monday May 22nd the Girls Soccer team will play a friendly game vs the High School freshman team at the
High School Stadium. Game time will be 5:00pm.
It will be nice to see lots of Chargers supporting our team.

The LMS teachers have challenged the girls and boys volleyball teams to a volleyball match. On Wednesday May
24th at 3:00 the LMS teachers will be facing off against the students in the Big Gym. All students are invited to
come and watch the teachers destroy the students on the court, but only the students who were on the volleyball
teams this year can play against the teachers.
