Engaging, immersive, autonomous online English-language training for learners of all levels
Proven effectiveness; high usage frequency rate
English Attack! directly addresses the insufficient
exposure to authentic English experienced by most
English language learners by providing an entertaining,
immersive, and autonomous online learning and practice
resource. Our pedagogy is based on the latest studies in
cognitive neuroscience, and fully integrates the Lexical
and Communicative approaches in English language
teaching. English Attack! is fully complementary with
classroom-based teaching
Education Partners
English Attack’s unique method achieves
three key pedagogical outcomes :
Strong Learner
Motivation
Retention of
Learned Items
English Attack! generates strong
learner motivation via current,
authentic content (clips from
movies, TV series, music videos,
television news); visual dictionaries
on a wide range of subjects; a
videogame-like reward ecosystem;
and participation in a worldwide
social network of learners of
English. Fresh, topical content is
added to the site daily.
The site enables learners to move
the lexical items seen in the learning
units from short-term into longterm memory - the only way to truly
retain them - thanks to a range of
addictive Learning Games that
provide repeated exposure to (and
use of) the new vocabulary.
Learners practice with games that
are generated dynamically each
time a new content unit is played.
Frequent Input;
Learner Autonomy
English Attack! exercises are shortformat: a typical learning unit can
be completed in 10 minutes. The
brevity of the learning sessions and
the attractiveness of the content
result in most of our learners using
the site every day, exploring new
content and gaining in confidence.
This allows us to achieve two of the
key requirements for effective
language learning: frequency of
input, and learner autonomy.
Entertainment Learning Units
Video
Boosters
Learners can choose from hundreds of one- to three-minute clips from movies,
TV series, news channels, and music videos, enhanced with exercises and
resources. Helps build vocabulary; oral and written comprehension (gist and
detail); grammar and usage skills in just 10 - 15 minutes per Video Booster.

Vocabs
Contextually associating words with pictures creates a much stronger link in
learner memory, helping them to better retain the learned vocabulary. The mix
of words, phrases, idioms and specialist jargon gives them a great “toolkit” for
discussing hundreds of relevant and useful topics.
Learning
Games
With vocabulary, if learners use it, they don’t lose it. By using acquired English
language vocabulary terms in online games, learners achieve the drill-like
repetition which will facilitate later recall, but in a fun context. Working
vocabulary thus expand with each Practice Game played.
