• Open to Stage 3 students
• Mental arithmetic competition
• 5 rounds of quick mental questions – paper test
• Best mathematicians over those 5 rounds meet
in spelling bee style final
RUBIK’S CUBE CHALLENGE
• Open to Years 3-6
• Competitors solve a Rubik’s Cube live on stage.
• Best time makes it through to the final

GOLDEN PI COMPETITION
• Open to years 3-6
• Relates to Pi, a very special mathematical
number that is infinite: it …never…stops….
• Competitors recite Pi from memory to as many
decimal places as possible.
