Odyssey House Louisiana (OHL) is on a hunt to find sponsors for our Third
Annual Pirate Ball and we would love for your business to come aboard! The
event will be held on June 17, 2017, at The Cannery in Mid-City (3803 Toulouse
St.) and will feature great food, libations, live music, performances, a silent
auction, raffle and general pirate revelry. As this is New Orleans, all attendees are
encouraged to wear their finest pirate attire or be prepared to walk the plank.
By becoming a Pirate Ball sponsor, you will be directly benefiting OHL’s addiction
treatment and community health programs, as well as promoting your business to
nearly 300 attendees. Perks for sponsoring The Pirate Ball include patron tickets,
seated tables, logo displays, web and social media presence, and many more
(listed in full on the following page).
Beginning this year, OHL is offering a special sponsorship opportunity to present
the first ever “Thomy Lafon Award.” The award will honor an individual who made
significant contribution(s) to OHL’s mission and social services in New Orleans.
The award will also celebrate the life and work of philanthropist, human rights
activist, and original proprietor of OHL’s 1125 N. Tonti St. property, Thomy Lafon.

SUPPORT FOR THE FUTURE
With your support of OHL’s Third Annual Pirate Ball,
you will be contributing to OHL’s long term success in
empowering individuals to become active participants in
their recovery to reclaim functional, productive lives. Your
sponsorship will help strengthen OHL’s encompassing
system of care that includes detox, treatment, behavioral
and medical healthcare, life-­skills, counseling, and
case management services. OHL currently sees 6,000+
annual visits to our community health center, 900+
annual admissions into our residential programs, 1400+
annual admissions into our detox programs. Overall, OHL
provides services for over 900 individuals every month.
Currently, OHL is poised to make its most substantial
expansion in the agency’s 44-year history: a $10 million
complete renovation and redesign of its Treme-Lafitte
facility and the development of a new facility on S.
Broad Street (the old Bohn Motor Co. Building). The
renovations at these two facilities will allow OHL to
expand its services, nearly doubling its treatment
capacity and creating two sites for its Community Health
Center. While OHL has raised the bricks and mortar funds
for these projects, the agency anticipates a fundraising
need of approximately $1 million to fully furnish the
renovated buildings. OHL will need to purchase all interior
furnishings for the upgraded facilities, including kitchen
equipment, beds for clients, and furniture. Proceeds
generated from OHL’s Pirate Ball will go directly into a
dedicated fund to help OHL furnish its new facilities.
