P.C.C NEWSLETTER - OCTOBER 2012
The cricket season has officially started with our First XI playing at home and our Second XI playing away at
Belvedere Oval with both sides playing Seaford Tigers in a one day game. The club has worked hard over the off
season to try to entice players to the club and with our numbers improving during the preseason.
We welcome new players Bhanu Mangam, Yokesh Kennan, Santosh Chikiri, Anil Pullannagar and returning
players Aidan Bock (Somerville), Warren te Giffel, Josh Beard, Craig Dixon & Gary Thomas.
For the season 2012/13 the club has entered 4 senior sides and 3 junior sides. The First’s & Seconds both play
two day games on Saturdays beginning on the 6th of October, our Thirds will be a Saturday one day competition
beginning on the 13th of October and the 4ths a Sunday one day competition beginning on the 14th of October.
Our under 11’s play on Friday nights beginning on the 19th of October, under 13’s on Sunday mornings
beginning on the 14th of October and the under 15’s on Saturday mornings beginning on the 13th of October.
All teams are now training back at Pearcedale with the seniors training Tuesday & Thursday nights from 5:15pm
& all junior teams training on Wednesday nights from 5pm till 6pm. Both junior and senior numbers have been
steady at preseason trainings which were held at Saxon Sports indoor centre in Frankston. Anyone interested in
having a game of cricket this season is more than welcome to come down to training at anytime.

Memberships:
All memberships have been set for the 2012/13 season. We have been able to reduce some of the costs by a
minimal amount for members willing to pay the memberships in full. A $50 deposit is required prior to round 1 to
cover all players for insurance purposes and all fees are required to be paid prior to December 31st 2012.
Players unable to meet the financial deadlines will not be eligible to play until financial.
The club is happy to discuss a financial plan with any individual unable to meet the payment deadlines.

Sunday Seniors: Full Payment $90; Part Payment $110 or $20 first game then $10 per game
Juniors (under 11-17’s): $90 (+$80 per extra sibling)

Player Sponsorship:
We are asking all players to secure a $100 players sponsor or a club sponsor for the 2012/13 season.
Incentives are available for both juniors and seniors players, with the juniors receiving a cap and playing shirt
free and the senior players then becomes eligible to receive player performance payments.
It is COMPULSARY for all senior players to secure a player sponsor.
All sponsorship packages are on our website.
Sponsorship is an important component to ensure OUR CLUB remains financially secure for this season &
beyond.
Fundraising:
On father’s day the 2nd of September the club held a sausage sizzle at Hastings Bunning’s which was a
successful day for the club. We were lucky enough to have a nice day with the sun out most of the day.
Massive thanks to Karen Jennings who stayed all day and also to Rick from Hanrik Smallgoods who donated
the sausage after selling out early.
The club has also had a delivery of Cadbury Chocolates fundraiser boxes which players are required to sell.
All money must be return back to the club once sold.
We have also received a number of community benefit card from Ritches for all our members.
This card enables you to get a small discount on marked items and a small percentage of the total amount goes
back to the club. If you or someone you know shops at Ritches, please see Karen Jennings for your Community
Benefit card.
The club has also been able to register with Aussie Farmers Direct where the club will also receive a small
percentage of your total when you mention the Pearcedale Cricket Club.
Rebel Sport is in the process of organising discount cards for our members which we hope to receive as soon
as possible. Again the club will receive a small percentage as well as a small discount for yourself.
